From my wife Cynthia Schwan:
"You might not believe this recommendation, but you should. There is no exaggeration here! Lauren Tetreault is an amazing realtor. My husband and I have lived in academic housing for 42 years. Now in our 70’s, we were babes in the woods, knowing nothing about purchasing a house. From the first greeting on the phone, and then in person, Lauren was friendly, warm, and encouraging, clearly with expertise not only in the business, but with people…witness that she had to deal with me and I was a nervous wreck! With every encounter I had with her, in person, on the phone, texting, or emails, I began to relax because I saw that Lauren had EVERYTHING under control, including…my nerves! Lauren LISTENED to us. She stepped right in, never being controlling but guiding us, and helping us see things we might never have noticed. I came to rely on her good judgement every time we met. She left us alone when we first looked at a house, but then she always told us what she thought. She said she would tell us if she had an impression that a house was a “good place” for us. And if it was NOT a good place for us. She is highly efficient and incredibly knowledgeable about real estate in Maynard. She found houses at a price that worked for us, and that were closer to our daughter and grandchild than I ever dreamed we would find. I could not imagine a more perfect realtor than Lauren.
P.S. Thank heavens she has a sense of humor…. "
And from me: Lauren Tetreault, to put it simply, an ideal realtor.
She told us when we first met that she thought of her job being most of all education. And she is, to put it mildly, a terrific teacher – about architecture, traffic patterns, drainage systems, lighting, windows, sod, about details. But also about the process of buying a house, how fast things have to go, when there’s time and when there isn’t, about figuring out one’s own needs, about money, about hopes and aspirations.
She is also a terrific counselor – not pressuring us, but not letting us drift in the wind either, understanding our needs and goals, telling us when she thought houses would meet them and when they couldn’t, what we could change in a house and what we couldn’t.
And she is, like all good counselors and teachers, on your side – wanting you to succeed, sympathizing with you if something doesn’t work out, rejoicing with you if something does.
I hope never to have to buy a house again, or for that matter sell one. But if I had to, I’d turn to Lauren in...
Read moreIt has been a real pleasure working with Lauren Tetreault on the sale of our home and the purchase of a new one.
We were hesitant to jump into the highly competitive market this past spring, but knew we were outgrowing our 1st home. I feel lucky that we met Lauren at an open house we randomly wandered into, because she and her team have made the whole process feel seamless and dare I say…easy?
Lauren Tetreault’s local knowledge and expertise has been invaluable. Were we able to achieve a great price for our home with her guidance and understanding of both larger market trends and local influences. She also connected us with a mortgage lender and law firm to handle our closing that we have been really happy with.
That expertise carried over into the buying process. Lauren clearly knows the area well, and knows what she’s looking at. She got us into every house we wanted to see quickly, and she provided a lot of valuable insights as we viewed properties, and ultimately had an offer accepted.
Through the whole selling/buying process we have felt guided and supported. Allowed to take the lead where it mattered to us, and respectfully advised/ hand-held when we needed it. Lauren Tetreault is gracious, knowledgeable, transparent, always available to answer questions. She never made me feel like I was being high-maintenance or needy even when I probably was. It has felt like Lauren is truly invested in our success and in our corner 100%.
We are coming out of what can be a stressful and challenging process for many feeling satisfied, confident about our transition, and excited for our next stage of home ownership, much in thanks to Lauren Tetreault...
Read moreLauren helped us purchase our new home and we liked her so much - during the process - that we asked her to help us sell our old place, too. We are thrilled with our new home - it's exactly what we wanted with a lot we didn't think we could get - and happily surprised that our old place got several excellent offers and sold for substantially more than the asking price.
Lauren is always professional and articulate. The warmth of her personality makes working with her easy and truly fun. She came out to meet us in a huge rainstorm Friday afternoon - the day before Christmas Eve. When we loved the place - that we ended up buying - she generously gave us her time to prepare an offer.
Lauren is a stickler for important details related to buildings and houses, inside and out, and she used her knowledge for our benefit. For example, Lauren noticed that one room didn't feel as warm as the others. She talked to the sellers and they added an additional heating unit to that room. Indeed, leading up to the Purchase & Sale, Lauren helped us to strategically request that important issues be remedied, and she used her expertise to advise us on matters from the basement to the attic. The seller fixed every single thing we requested!
There is no comparison between our past experiences with purchasing and selling and our experience with Lauren. She is the creme de la creme of real estate, a walking realty reference library! If she doesn't know about something, she knows the right person to ask. And she will ask that person quickly and get back to you with an answer.
We recommend Lauren Tetreault, enthusiastically and wholeheartedly....
