I came in today around 2 pm with my partner & I was immediately greeted with an ugly look by a cashier named Sinita & I felt super uncomfortable considering she wasn’t looking at my face ugly, she was staring at my private area ugly. (Check the cameras if you want) Next we continued to shop, we went to the restroom then as we were checking out we noticed Sinita standing by the first register so my partner takes his cart to the first register thinking Sinita was going to attend us there but she then said(RUDELY)“what are y’all doing” “where are yall going” “are you checking out” keep in mind as she’s asking us these questions she’s giving us ugly looks because we’re a little lost and I guess that bothered her? So when I heard her talking to us in that manner, I begin to tell her “well tell us where to go then, help us” then she mumbled something after I said that. Then after that I started to be rude back & say “well you’re the employee, you should be navigating us. It’s our first time here” because I thought it was so rude that instead of helping us get to the right register in the right area to check out, she was just plain rude¬ trying to be helpful. After that nothing was said(we checked out) but before we left my partner asked her for her name (so we can speak to a manager about the incident we had with her). She said “my name is Sinita, you can leave a good review or a bad review I don’t care”. So then I got more upset & told her she was disgusting(obviously for saying that to my partner) when my partner never disrespected her at all, he didn’t even mention why he was asking for her name either.. she then said “thank you” to me & of course i said “you’re welcome”. :) & it’s not even the end of the story. At that point we were out of the store and I begin to call the location to report the incident right away. I spoke to Mr. Robinson, I believe.. maybe he was pretending to be the manager maybe not. I guess I’ll find out after this review, I just know it begin with the R. I told him exactly what I wrote down here and he had the audacity to tell me mid conversation that he heard what Sinita was saying to us and he heard what I was saying to her and that he had already spoken to her about it“ I then said “so you’re telling me you’re the manager, yet you saw & heard how the employee was being rude to us and you didn’t bother to intervene to defuse the situation?” He didn’t have an answer for that, he instead repeated himself and said he had already spoken to her & I let him know that she should be written up for that type of behavior. I don’t know what qualifications you would need to have to be a manager there but i know one of them isn’t standing there doing nothing while an employee is being unhelpful and rude to customers. He was not helpful at all. He clearly was on her side. I guess the company cares more about their rude employees than their customers experience. This is what happens when you have poor management. If you think about it, your managers are the foundation of your stores so if you have managers who don’t care about the company, you will have non manager employees acting the same way to you company. Saying that I can’t be doing that etc etc. I told her that me and my mom are two different companies, different brands , and different owners but their answer was still a no just because we came together . I had an instance where an instacarter was asked by a cashier for my restaurant depot member number. I have one but because I could not provide it they told the instacarter that they could not sell the item. On the national website it states that if you do not have a membership you can still order through instacart. I just called and spoke with Robinson the manager and he confirmed the national policy with instacart and apologized for the mistake. So, for anyone outhere using instacart the national policy is on the membership page. Ask for a manager. Wanted to check the policy before leaving a bad feedback. Sometimes training is the answer. Now I know to have my member number just in case but if not just know there is a policy that allows you to shop. Hope this...
