An incredible store. About a year ago, I had a few minutes while waiting on pizza. I stepped into the store to look around. Instantly, I was transported back to my childhood. Vintage video games and PokƩmon cards surrounded. That, by itself, would be enough to give them a five star review, but it paled in comparison to what happened next.
I met with the owner/store manager and bought a few cards for myself. I enjoy the occasional rip and hope. While checking out, I mentioned that I was starting a local PokƩmon league for people in the community and was hoping to give some cards away for free. He offered me a great deal! I was more than happy and extremely grateful. It didn't stop there though.
I came back today and asked if he would sell me any of the bulk commons that he would probably discard. I wanted to give decks to each of the summer campers we were teaching to play. He went to the back and grabbed a box. Inside the exceptionally heavy box was approximately 12,000 cards. My eyes bulged. I needed more than that, but I did not think to get so many at once. I knew that 12,000 cards, even commons would have a four- or five-figure price tag. He didn't charge me a dime.
This shop might be one of the most incredible store I've ever been in. I've never met a more caring business. I am grateful, stunned, and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! (READ In Detailed Review) My favorite store!!! Everywhere you look itās something new! Itās always great vibes and a positive atmosphere to be in, shop, or sit down and open some packs and play some games while watching tv. Itās nearby food and a gas station as well if you get hungry they also sell snacks.
Thereās so much nostalgic and new stuff in there itās crazy, you have to check it out. They do store credit and may buy some of your stuff cash. Jesse and Greg have amazing customer service as well, stayed open later to let me finish my selections and did not rush at all. I bought a switch, a game and an ETB.
I have sold and traded PokĆ©mon cards here and I must say the prices ALWAYS fair. If you have some rare or vintage goods bring them in, youāre better off bringing games here than to GameStop as well. Way better prices and a huge selection which is building. Thank you Greg and Jesse again Iāll definitely stick around. I donāt leave much reviews but they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you collect retro games, then a lot of the negative reviews you see are inconsequential. It should go without saying, but a business has to make money. There's going to be mark-ups. Otherwise you're on Facebook Marketplace haggling with people hoping the guy with smaller margins doesn't scoop in and take your loot cause he's unemployed and you're stuck at work. With that being said, I've been to Nerd's World 3 times, and each time my experience has gotten progressively better. There are a ton of reasonably priced common/uncommon games, with quite a good bit of rare games on display when compared to the other local shops. I may not be as big a collector as I used to be, but after trying what's on offer in the respective area, I think I found my solid go to for my personal retro needs. Side note, if you're into the Pokemon TCG, the other half of the store seems to be dedicated to it, I just can't speak on it cause I haven't touched a Pokemon card...
