For the most part I love Aldi. Especially it's home section. But the staff? Ugh! Not so much. There is one cashier that has been there the longest. (Salt/pepper twist) She is always friendly and helpful. But that's it. Staff are not friendly. They don't even speak when on the floor. The young man who does stocking is never friendly and is unhelpful. The one with the blond wig never speaks. Today. Oct 6 around 10:30 am. The store only had one bag of hotdog buns left. One of the top buns was squished and cut, but the other buns looked good. I was hoping to get a small discount. At the cashier counter, the employee rung them up and I asked if I could get a small discount for the cut up bun. She said that Aldi does not give discounts on food. ??????. I just let the issue go and kept putting my items onto the counter. She asked if I still wanted them. I said, "Yes. I will also just take a pic of them and send the pic to corporate to get my discount." Why did I say that? Cause, she then says, "You know what, I don't think I'm gonna sell you the buns. We are really not supposed to sell damaged goods in the first place " Really? So you say this after asking me if I still want them???? She got nervous. I then asked if I could still take a pic of the "damaged" buns. She didn't like that. All this over some hotdog buns. This Aldi is great. But the staff leaves alot to be desired. I actually hate dealing with them....
Read moreUse to love the Jonesboro store but lately things have been a bit odd. Empty shelves, high prices and purchased items going bad within a day or two of bringing them home. I have this experience with whole milk, strawberries, asparagus, cucumbers and lettuce and coleslaw blend. One cashier to serve 10 to 12 customers. I’ve seen the check out lane stretch to the vegetable section of the store. Paying 2.79 for a dozen eggs seems a bit high. Doesn’t matter how you organize your shopping cart, the cashier throws it in the cart without any concern. Flat loaves of bread, bruised veggies and fruit. Blood leaking from meat packages. I’ve even opened a sauce jar and the glass under the lid was broken from being thrown into the cart. Sure I could go back and get a different package but why make the other 10 people wait on me to exchange something that was fine before I went through the check out. I don’t have a problem with the staff, they seem pretty friendly most of the time. I’m surprised how it’s being managed and how I’ve had to throw so much food away lately. Let’s face it, inflation is so bad right now and most of us can’t afford to buy things to have to throw them away a day later. I don’t want to get anyone in trouble, I just want to make management aware of what’s...
Read moreThis is my favorite ALDI location near me. However, I'm giving them a 3 and not a 5 because, they utilize instacart for curbside, but just play by their own rules. Lol. It's such a hassle. Just go inside or do delivery. They do not care to offer that service clearly. They notify you that shopping has begun WHEN THEY ARE DONE. lol. They notify you of any replacements, ignoring at times your requested replacements, and then shut it down immediately after that shopping is complete so that you have no time to request a refund or alternate replacement on any items out of stock. They will make up a replacement and then lock it down immediately. There is no real way to dispute it on Instacart app side. But I still reported it to instacart customer service, because it's been going on for almost a whole year now. It's frustrating. They refunded me after several times of this behavior. But, would be better if ALDI just allow approvals like every other Instacart store. I was informed they do the curbside shopping. Also, I would be highly suspicious of any reviews stating they 'call ALDI' to fix delivery issues. ALDI's doesn't do the delivery. And there is no number to...
