We arrived at the dog park yesterday as emergency services were pulling up. Wondering what was going on I got a little closer to the footbridge over the creek and saw a man hanging from the bridge dead. We watched as the man was unceremoniously cut down and lowered. I warned a family with young children as they approached on bicycles that there was some morbid police activity ahead. There was a body found near there in October and one last summer. The desperation on display in Bear Creek is shocking, even more so when it is starkly contrasted with people that walk by just enjoying some leisure time. Deaths of despair are too common in the area. I believe that as a society we need to increase advocacy and outreach to help these human beings. As far as the park is concerned, it is well maintained and has nice facilities such as a dog park, tennis courts and skateboard park. 2022 update: Bear Creek Plaza is still a handy place to go for all the reasons previously mentioned.

I had lunch at Heroe's Burgers 2 weeks ago with my daughter and the food is still worth it. The prices have gone up a bit since the pandemic has hit us all pretty hard. I've personally visited Carl's Jr., Big Lots, Dollar Store, Bimart, and Magic Man.

If you haven't been to the Dollar Store lately you may be surprised to learn that it is now $1.25 for each item.

Bear Creek Plaza has so many great stores. There's Ahuva Bagels, Papa Murphy's, Baskin & Robins, Big Lots, Dollar Store, Heroe's Burgers (one of my personal favorite places), Bimart, TJMAXX, Tuesday Morning, Boot Barn and more. Eye glasses, Denturist, Magic Man, a bank and three more fast food places, a cell phone place, Hallmark Cards and a USPS...

Got there a noon to get lunch and let the Granddaughter play in the playhouse. They were extremely busy and tables were full. The tables were dirty because of the volume of customers. The food was a little slow coming but was warm and good for fastfood. My order had several things missing and the staff quickly rectified the problem. My Granddaughter had lots of fun in the play area. The only real complaint is that the play area was not really supervised in that adults were roughhousing in the playhouse and endangering little kids. I spoke to the adults and...
