This is the BEST place in Medford for a first date! (In my opinion). Thereās so much to see and the service is so festive you can have a great time even if itās not a great date! They smash avocados to make guacamole right there! With gusto! Overly friendly waiters are sure to give you something in common as you will be wondering why they are so friendly.? Donāt bring someone who dislikes being touched. I recommend the trios maā¦.something on the second pageā¦the dish comes in a sizzling cast iron cauldron and serves two! They have the most delicious Carne Asada that Iāve ever tasted! But be careful of the large green pepper in the middle! My friend said the hotter the better until he took a bite and then he changed his mind about hot peppers lol. Not so tough now haahaa. The room became super hot after the pepper haahaa. Iām a Minnesota girl and donāt do spicy, but even though just putting the pepper in made it spicy it was still delicious! I polished off the leftovers myself with a glass of ice water. Donāt eat this without a drink! It was a wonderful time. They also have a bar (cantina) that has sports on big screen televisions! Itās beautifully decorated and they serve the best warm homemade tortilla chips with beans and salsa! Such a flavorful place! Two cokes and the trio maā¦.? Came out to $30 plus tip! We were both stuffed and had leftovers! Definitely going back, this place has a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNormally we LOVE El Tapatio (Medford). Over the years we have gone here numerous times, brought so many friends and family, had birthday parties, and more. Probably spent thousands of dollars here as we have a big family. It was one of our top 3 favorite restaurants around but after tonight, we will not go again. Tonight we called and ordered rice and beans, chips and salsa for 5 people. No entrees. Just rice and beans. according to the website menu, that would come out to about 40$. Previously chips and salsa were free (as they are in restraunt) and we have not been charged for them before. Tonight they quoted us almost 70$ for rice, beans, chips, and salsa. According to the menu that wouldāve been around 40$. We said āthe menu online has different pricesā and she said āthatās not accurateā. I got off the phone and my family decided that was too much, so not even 3 minutes later we called to cancel.
The woman on the phone said āoh my god we already started bagging it upā and hung up the phone on us. We were super nice about it and just told her thatās too much money for us. We will not be returning. She was beyond rude for no reason at all. Hanging up on customers is a terrible business practice. I can understand if we were being rude but we were not. Please everyone note that the menu/pricing on their website is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy friends and I came in tonight and sat at the bar waiting for a table for 7 of us that would be ready in, according to them half an hour. The bartender kept skipping over my husband and I when we ordered drinks and we finally had to say something. We waited for more than half an hour for a table which is fine I get it. However the whole experience was awful. After the table left my husband went to the host stand to let them know we still wanted the table and if they could have someone come clean it off. After a few minutes someone did but then no one came over to let us know we can go sit down. After an hour and a half there we finally decided to order food to go. Asked the bartender for a menu and she gave us one then disappeared. After 20 minutes we had to wave someone down to take our food order. The bartender, was nice, but she was terrible. The service was awful, we felt forgotten and it seemed like no one wanted to wait on my friends and me. It was mine and my husbands first time there. I work In the food industry too and so I get how it can be, but the bar was not busy and for the bartender to keep disappearing was unacceptable. We will not ever...
