If I could give zero stars, I would.
South Medford Fred Meyer Pharmacy has been the absolute worst part of my recent medical ordeal - and I say that after spending an entire day in the hospital. The staff here have treated me with cruelty, disrespect, and a complete lack of professionalism or compassion. I’ve never encountered such a hostile environment while simply trying to get a prescription filled.
The women working here - particularly an older staff member who was on shift last night - were shockingly rude. She refused to even look up my prescription until I pressed her, yelled at me for trying to explain my situation, and then threatened to cancel my prescription altogether (which is both unethical and potentially illegal).
Today, I’ve been put on hold six times. I've been hung up on, yelled at, laughed at, and lied to repeatedly. When I requested the prescription be transferred to another pharmacy (since South Medford Fred Meyer clearly had no intention of filling it), I was told it was being filled - despite me having clearly stated I wanted a transfer. My new pharmacy sent over the request and even received a fax confirmation that South Medford got it. Yet when I called to follow up, they claimed they never received anything. Then when I presses again she rudely said she got and would do it, then loudly hung up on me.
Their first instinct is to lie. Their second is to yell. Their third is to be outright cruel.
It’s unacceptable.
I was respectful. I was sick and just trying to get medication so I could care for my children. This pharmacy turned that into a two-day nightmare. I would strongly advise anyone - especially women, mothers, or anyone in a vulnerable state - to stay far, far away from this place. There are plenty of pharmacies in Medford. This one has clearly forgotten how to treat people with basic human decency.
Shame on South Medford Fred Meyer...
Read moreI have been unhappy with the lack of service from this pharmacy for a long time, so I enrolled in an online prescription delivery instead. They texted that my rx was ready but when I went to pick it up, they have "given it to Walmart" bc they requested it. I never authorized that to happen and explained that. Then they said, "oops, it was supposed to go to Walgreens, we'll fix that." Well in the mean time, I need my rx. Thyroid medication is not something you can just skip for days at a time. Well they refused to fill anything bc the rx was sent elsewhere. They were suppose to fill the rx and the mail order was getting their own rx for this specific reason- so I wouldn't run out before the mail order came. She acted like this happens all the time and I was told by the pharmacist, "it will be faster for you to just call your doctor and get a new refill." Talk about bad customer service! This is why their reviews are so bad on-line, and that's exactly what...
Read moreBeen using fred meyers consistantly for the past 5 years now and over here at south medford pharmacy and i gotta say, Debbie is always so helpful! Usually i only give her my info and its a super quick process but today i got to chat a little bit with her and she also helped get one of my meds pushed up for me without me even asking! I know most people only share the bad side of their pharmacy, but my long term boyfriend was a pharmacy tech for most of our relationship so i can truly appreciate how demanding it can be to work with unhappy people needing their meds, so i just wanted to give a shoutout to miss Debbie for helping me out today and being able to see the soft side of her! The different techs are all sweet, and the pharmacists themselves are usually quite helpful (everyone deserves a shout out!) If your having a hard time here, just give them some patience and they will give you the...
