This is going to be long so in advance the TLDR is the food is amazing and definitely go there, now for my review:
We spent $71 dollars and got: pulled popper panini (8.3/10) with gf bread replacement, rooted nachos as a rice bowl(9.5/10), apple nachos (7/10), matcha mango smoothie (8.5/10), berry cherry smoothie (9/10) and a cookie which was probably a good 8.6/10.
I absolutely would recommend this place. The food was really amazing and their use of the chipotle lime jackfruit was genius, I've never had jackfruit before and could've been fooled that my sandwich had meat in it! Absolutely awesome. I was really happy to find a place with such a great diverse menu while remaining vegetarian and also having gluten free options and (I think) vegan options. The drinks were also great and they have a lot of options. Also as someone who can't eat peanuts it made me very happy to see a menu that isn't using peanuts and is using alternatives!!!!
The service was good and the wait wasn't super long at all, it was empty when we got here tho (about 4:30pm, on a Friday) and the atmosphere is great with a welcoming seating area and good music
A side thing I loved is they have compostable straws that aren't paper so they're not disintegrating as you drink
I think my only criticism would be with the nachos, but this is probably a personal preference thing, but I'd say the ratio of toppings to apple was off, it needed a bit more apple
I would also recommend this as more of an individual or date food spot vs whole family just bc I imagine it'd get pricey if it was like four people
Overall genuinely one of the best places I've ever eaten, the food was diverse and delicious and...
Read moreI recently visited Rooted, and I must say, my experience left much to be desired. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt off—something I couldn’t quite put my finger on at first.
While placing my order, I noticed a woman and a man at the register counting their tips. Shortly after I paid, they began arguing over something tip-related. Their disagreement escalated quickly, and the man made a deeply inappropriate comment, telling the woman to “go clean the bathroom where you should be.” The argument continued right there in front of myself.
To make matters worse, the individual preparing my food—who was the only professional presence during my visit—tried to step in and deescalate the situation, pointing out how unprofessional their behavior was. I truly felt uncomfortable and unwelcome throughout the experience.
This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, especially in a customer-facing environment. It’s unfortunate because the food itself was decent, but the overall experience has made me hesitant to return. I hope management addresses this issue to ensure future customers don’t have to witness...
Read more💃 SO, so HAPPY to EAT here! 🥰 I have been a vegan/vegetarian (I eat honey, sometimes butter) for OVER four decades. My husband is not vegetarian. We both LOVE this place. It is a relief to eat here. My husband loves burritos and jalapenos and adored a kimchi bowl that was a special. My favorites are the rooted acai bowl and the Sweet Pea burrito (I think of it as the sunshine burrit).I enjoy the sparkleberry juice. This is just FUN! Danika, Cypress, Melissa and EVERY staff member are warm and welcoming. The music is mellow and relaxing without being 'airy-fairy'. It is fun just to PEOPLE-WATCH here. Everyone is welcome in. I don't feel as confined as I usually do in Medford. AND THEY MAKE SUBSTITUTIONS!!! 😃 I am allergic to many things and it's difficult to eat out. Not here, I can order chia seeds instead of cocoa nibs etc. This is great. My husband adds the jalepenos to everything. You can add edemame! The food is made FOR YOU, not just turned out, as is, take it or leave it. Thank you Danika and staff! 💃...
