Candyapple & Co. — Local services in Medina

I called The Candyapple & Co to order some candy apples for my amazing Mom's birthday. I felt like I was being annoying because I called 3x in a week The first time I called to inquire about prices, flavors etc, an employee named Becca was very kind, patient and helpful, and answered my questions. Due to my busy schedule, I called a 2nd time to discuss if I was going to have the apples delivered or come in and pick them up, I talked to Debbie, and she was just as kind, patient and helpful. In the meantime, I came down with the stomach flu, so I called a 3rd time to actually place an order for delivery, and that time I spoke to Alicia. With credit card in hand, I was giving my her my name, address etc. I was waiting to give her my payment information, and she said "we're going pay it forward, and we're going to deliver the apples free of charge", and that they would arrive the next morning in time for my Mom's birthday! I was still waiting to give her my payment information, assuming she just meant the delivery was free, but Alicia proceeded to tell me the cost of the 4 candy apples were free as well!!! I feel so blessed and so grateful!!! I thanked her, and said God bless you, and explained how my financial struggle is real, and that I just started a new job etc. Some people may think that that was a small thing, but to me it was huge!!!! By the way, they included a 5th apple for free... it had caramel and an m&m candy coating!!! As for the actual apples, well it gets even better! I gave them to my Mom the next day, and she was thrilled!!! The look on her face, and her surprise were priceless! She is always looking for candy apples, and can never find them! Well this place is a diamond in the rough!!! The actual apples are sweet, crisp and crunchy, and the coating is delicious- my mother has enjoyed all of them!!! I even tasted them also, and they're absolutely wonderful!!!! I don't know how they've done it but they are perfection!!!!! I highly recommend...

Ordered an apple that was already made, no one else in the store, waited 15 minutes without any communication as to if I could pay now or were they wrapping up the apple, they just walked away. They two girls behind the counter assumed I couldn't hear them as they made rude comments about my children. After my 15 minute wait of me staring across the glass, I assumed the girl was cutting the apple up for me, to which I said " oh don't cut it up please we have an hour drive home." She said " this isnt for you it's for someone else." Once again, no one else was in the store. So neither of the girls went to get the pre wrapped apple that I asked to purchase 15 minutes prior to this. So after standing there clearly being disguarded and my kids having rude comments made about them, to which the girls assumed I couldnt hear... I decided to leave. Wrote the owner and she made excuses as to why I would wait 15 minutes with no one else in the store to literally make a 1-2 minute transaction.. At no point did she apologize for the comments about my children. I work in healthcare as an RN and I would never treat anyone this poorly, nor would I excuse the behavior of those who worked for me if they treated...

Management is unkind and doesn't value or appreciate their workers. She doesn't give breaks. She gets mad if you have to use the bathroom. She is demeaning and cruel to 98 percent of her employees with unfair wages but will work you like a slave. The culture is awful. Please don't support people like this. The ingredients are the same you can make at home. Nothing is top notch or special. They throw away extra apples instead of donating them. I refuse to spend money in here because of how badly people are treated both customers and her employees. No break room. No fridge for employees to even bring food. Gets mad if you even drink water.
