I was initially skeptical about how this store would thrive beachside, especially since I could think of ten other businesses that would do well here. However, when I visited for the first time, I was impressed by how neat and organized the store was.

That said, I had a really uncomfortable experience with the management. Wherever I went in the store, the manager seemed to appear, as if he was following me. I spent about 30 minutes browsing, and not once did he ask if I needed help. Yet, he was constantly nearby, and when I got to the checkout, he suddenly appeared there too. It didn't feel like a coincidence.

I recently had a large, complicated framing job that needed careful attention. We'd designed a multi-window gallery frame/mat to showcase a board of directors, and the spacing had to be exact. I brought a detailed mock-up with all the dimensions, and they all had to be entered into the framing department's computer. The employee who worked with me, Steph, was amazing. She was patient and knowledgeable, and didn't make me feel that our project was a pain (but to me, it was!) The mat turned out perfectly, just as we'd designed. A little disappointed with the framing dept. Went in with one very small piece that needed reframed. One couple ahead of me with two large pieces. Two employees helping the couple, but one was just observing. This was going to be at least an additional 20-30 minutes to complete the transaction. Instead of the second employee helping me, she just left and was wandering around the back. I just bought a frame off the shelf. Do yourself a favour and go to Creative Framing up the road. Otherwise the store is nice and I like the self checkout. Too bad the customer service...
