IDEAL BULK BUY EXPERIENCE: the "other store"! I don't have to frequent it often but when I do, it is for essential items need in bulk at a reasonable price. My membership has more than paid for itself over the years from the early days of their original partnerships with AMEX to the current one with VISA as their form of payment when shopping...I mention this because of the year-to-date summary rewards received as part of the program when you sign-up not only for a membership but their CC which is linked to your membership thereby providing a percentage back on purchases. The store itself is nicely laid out with adequate space for customer traffic from as they shop! Design of product groupings are easily identifiable based on usage, popularity, and selling impact. The staff is friendly and helpful when needed and pleasant and expedient during the check out process. When not visiting the store directly, I use their online option to take care of specific needs for my extended family where you'll find great discounts not always featured in the store. Whether shopping in store or online, there are opportunities to satisfy your needs for those items you need to stock up on, whether for you or a loved one.
Another great shopping experience! Not much of a weekly/monthly shopper but sometimes the key supplies run out and then you have to answer the call for replenishment. Stopped in to pick up another round of bulk essentials; enjoyed seeing and engaging with some of the shoppers in the area as well as the staff who shared with me information about their membership executive plan. Although it was not for me, I am not the average routine shopper - if I were I'd get one in a minute. There are great benefits associated with it aside from the two-fold bonus payback for having the Visa card and the membership. The plan gives you 2% back from Visa and another 3% back from Costco on your total purchases each time. There are travel, vacation, roadside benefits and more. So much to think about, check it out to see if it's a fit for you and your shopping needs! 😎
More than just bulk buy: the warehouse also has a fueling station near the main entrance to the roadway making it easy to find and access. They provide a built in fuel discount as part of your club membership that can be accessed via your membership number assigned to your membership card or if you have the Visa Anywhere card which is linked to the account you can get the fuel discount when scanning the card into the pump. This is yet another opportunity to fight the fuel pump price grinch! They also provide diesel as do most locations. So, if you have a membership and one close by, take advantage of this benefit.
Time to restock - made a stop @ Costco to grab some household, workout trends,...
Read moreMy issue is with the wireless service at this costco. (I wouldn't encourage anyone who wants to make a cell phone purchase there to check out the subreddit for Costco wireless service.) I went to the store to see what kind of a deal I could get for starting a new plan with a new carrier. to my pleasant surprise, I found that they had a very reasonable new plan with AT&t where I wouldn't even have to trade in my old phone. I simply had to pay the money down for taxes on the phone that day. The manager at the time told me that I would be getting a $250 gift card with this plan but I would have to wait 90 days to get it. I asked her if there was anything I needed to do and was told no. After 3 months I contacted them. I was basically given the runaround and had to contact them multiple times after this. it seemed that no one really had any answers. I finally got in touch with the membership manager, named carlos. Carlos has been helpful but it seems that he's very limited and even what he can do. they finally explained that they needed my last three bills to issue me the gift card so I immediately sent them cut to three weeks later and I'm now being told that because I didn't contact them within the first 30 days of opening the account it could take a lot longer for me to get this stupid credit. there was a Vitamix blender that I really wanted to get for Christmas that I now will not be able to get. Their departments are horribly misorganized and do not seem to communicate with another. if you promise someone something in a contract, you should deliver. you never blame the customer when you screw up. I think they should immediately issue me a gift card and say screw our procedures and policies. I have done everything that I was supposed to do but they have not fulfilled their end of the bargain. This has been a terrible year and this is just the icing on the cake. Thanks so f** much costco. I also get a bit annoyed when the cashiers upfront don't offer you boxes to put your massive amounts of food in period what am I supposed to just...
Read moreThe treatment I received by the Tire Center Manager Rich was awful. The tire center tech lost my custom tire valve caps when I purchased a new set of tires and replaced them with plastic ones. got halfway across town and called back and they Let me know that the manager would replace them because it happens all time(PROBLEM SOLVED). During the visit I also instructed them to leave one tire to me inside the trunk and they did not. got halfway across town again before i realized. I called back AGAIN and the tech was very nice, apologized and stated that he would put my tire aside for pick up at a later date (PROBLEM SOLVED). When i called the next day to speak with the Manager Rich (as the tech instructed me to about the valve caps) He was the most rude individual I have ever spoke with and met. Rich notified me that he instructs all technicians to throw customers caps in the "trash". I thought he misunderstood so I let him know that they were not plastic normal black valve caps but chrome, heavy, custom BMW caps he replied "yes we throw them away" which was certainly NOT true. I proceeded to tell him what the tech said about them reimbursing me for replacement ones if I brought the receipt. He then cut me off and with a raised tone "WELL HOW MUCH ARE THEY?!" I calmly stated I was unsure but could go to the dealer to purchase and bring the receipt to be reimbursed liek I was instructed. He stated that he could get them cheaper. I told him I was NOT concerned witht the price only that I wanted my property back or replaced. He told me that he would order and that I could pick them up in 7 days. On the 7th day he called before opening time to let me know that they will be in in another two weeks. He is complete and total joke. THis is not how a manager handles business and Costco should be ashamed for having him as a manager as he knows nothing about customer service. to treat a paying customer (tire prices are NOT happy meal prices) with such attitude and disrespect for issues that they created. I will never patronize...
