I put money as a deposit to order a couch from Louie back in late November of 2024. I was told the couch will be hopefully delivered by mid January no one ever called to let me know. I called and asked and was told that there was still no dates. I went in this past weekend and wanted a refund. Louie offered a another couch with a different chaise lounge on opposite side. I thought about it went home seen that it will not work. I have asked for a refund. He states that they do not do refunds and that I did a layaway. Update: I went into the store and asked for more explanation and was shut down pretty quickly by them using the words layaway even though I never put any money towards the layaway or signed anything other than a receipt showing where I put money down on a product that was not even in store. Thus Sweet Home Furniture calls it layaway but yet the products are not even in store so it's not true layaway. The better Business bureau has had a filed complaint. And I have already contacted a law firm here in Memphis. Update: I contacted Louie a few days later and asked for store credit of the $1040, he agreed easily.    Read moreI purchased king size and adjustable bed frame in August 2022. Louie said he would have to order the frame and that it would come in 2-3weeks. Facts: 3 months later I still donât have it. I asked for a refund. He declined stating he had the bed frame and had been trying to reach me- LIES! Currently, he refuses to give me a refund for the cost of $800 for the adjustable bed frame.
If you chose to do business with him, ask for an itemized receipt. Donât go for his âspecial.â If he canât show it to you beforehand, donât buy it. Honestly, youâre better off finding it on Wayfair or Amazon; the price is comparable, the shipping is guaranteed and refunds are available. For your peace in mind, I strongly recommend patrons avoid this place.
UPDATE on 10/30: 5min after posting this review, Louie called and asked me to return to the store to discuss the delivery and that he felt my review was âdishonest.â When I refused to return, he said I must pay $100 delivery fee or I canât get my adjustable bed frame that I bought in August. When I was at the store earlier the same day, an additional delivery was never mentioned. Keep in mind, that I was already charged a delivery fee and it wasnât $100.    Read moreP.S.A. PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS WHEN SHOPPING AT SWEET HOME FURNITURE. I received my living room sectional last night . Come to find out the sectional is too big for my living room. The delivery drivers couldn't even hook it up properly . I asked Felica could I just down size on the couch. I was told no so now I am waiting on the manager to come in at 2 to speak with him .At this rate I feel like they are not going to do anything to help a paying customer.Soooo basically, they wanna keep my money and not try to help with the situation.
