Southwind Fish — Restaurant in Tennessee

I don’t usually give reviews even when the customer service is not the best. But the rudeness of the woman sitting behind the table taking orders today was so very unprofessional. First of all, I completely understand signs posted and barriers in place due to COVID restrictions, but the setup is very confusing. Apparently I made the mistake of going through the wrong door when picking up my online order. The woman sitting behind the table shook her head like I had committed a crime! I asked if I was in the wrong line. She rudely said “I don’t know cuz I don’t know what you want.” She gave me my order without a “thank you” “Have a nice day”...not a word. As if I was bothering her but I’m spending my money at your establishment! As I left the restaurant, I stated that I would not be coming back because of her rudeness. She then yelled back to the other coworkers “She said she ain’t coming back in here more and laughs out loud. Now I always try to patronize my black owned businesses but some of us make it very difficult when its not appreciated. Don’t get so comfortable that you’re not humble 🙏🏽for what you’ve been blessed with! Just be nice and professional...it’s not...

As a dasher, I have never had any issues with any of the merchants that I have pick-up from. The owner was very rude, nasty and unprofessional because the staff did not have an order ready. I have never experience behavior like this at any other merchants. The owner was very rude when I advised her that the order was suppose to be ready at 12:43 at noon. Although, I have arrived at places and orders were probably 2 to 3 minutes late, but never 20 minutes late. In addition to that, although it was late, I was not disrespectful to this owner at all because things do go wrong sometime. Therefore, when I politely stated that I had another location to pick-up from, the owner was very inconsiderate and rude as if it had triggered something in her by me mentioning that. I enjoy supporting black owned business but because of her behavior , I will NOT support this business nor pick-up from this business ever again. It sad to see that an individual would risk it all because of a statement. I hope that she will see this post and that she will have better customer service to ALL individuals because we are helping your business as well while we pick-up orders from your...

Ok, coming from a HUGE fan of Soul Fish Cafe, I was impressed. While it is not as good as Soul Fish in my opinion, it was still very good. I was a little skeptical after reading several reviews from various sites, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the fried Catfish Fillet dinner, with fried okra, hush puppies and a sweet tea.. The fish was delicious, along with the okra and hush puppies. Although the hush puppies were a little small compared to what I'm used to, they were still good. Service was friendly and efficient. I will not go out on the limb to say it's the best in Memphis (because I think Soul Fish is), but I did like it. Now, beware, the menu/pricing on Urban Spoon is outdated. I paid $12.83 for my meal with tax. Just so you don't go in there expecting a $7.89 Catfish Fillet dinner...
