It takes a lot in me to really give one star and a negative review. I have to have a REALLY bad experience. I got married earlier this month and we had two groomsmen who didn't feel comfortable buying a suit so we went to Men's Warehouse. I let the groom really handle what the guys wore, as I knew he had a vision of what he wanted.
The groomsmen all got fitted 4 months before the wedding. Ample time for mess ups (thank god we planned). The groom went 2 months before the wedding. When he goes, they have our wedding date wrong, two of the groomsmen mixed up in sizing, and two of the groomsmen totally missing. 4 of the 6 groomsmen messed up, 2 months before the wedding? I'm really trying not to stress when I hear this, as I have tons of other wedding things to worry about.
The month of the wedding, we find out my husband doesn't get the shopping spree unless he buys the ties from Men's Warehouse. This would be fine, except nobody told us and we bought ties we wanted the men to wear. So no we're out $20 in ties if we use the ones we bought and $80 if we use the ones provided. Money wasted either way. This is also in addition to the East Memphis location telling us the suits were half the price, so for an extra $100 we could just buy the suits and have them totally fitted. At the end of it, my husband was so frustrated about even using Men's Warehouse that he just said screw the shopping spree I'll just put it towards my suit.
THE WEEK OF THE WEDDING -- let me say that again -- THE WEEK OF THE WEDDING, only 2 of the groomsmen suits fit correctly. To be honest, they just had to make them work. One groomsmen was told he would have his pants on Saturday (the day of the wedding) when he should have had them at the latest Friday. To my knowledge, he never got his pants. He was in a full suit, but that morning he told me they still weren't ready and that one of the groomsmen happened to have a pair that was close enough.
As a bride, I am so incredibly frustrated, and just thankful that I had a supporting partner that shouldered this stress as he knew I had more on my plate. I cannot even believe that Men's Warehouse can sleep at night knowing the trouble they put our wedding party through and STILL charged them full rate! We will never shop with this brand again, and they are not on our vendor recommendation list to any of our engaged friends. I hear that the Memphis locations are closing, and if any other customers went through what we did, then I totally understand....
Read moreI don't know that there are enough words to describe how much I hated the experience with this Men's Wearhouse and I only dealt with them over the phone. They forgot to order my best man's tuxedo. He went a few days before the wedding to pick it up and they had no clue what he was talking about. Luckily, they had the pieces in the store that he needed except for a shirt that fit. They sent him with three different shirts so he could pick the best one. And they made him pay for the tux in full before he could take it. What?! They had to scramble to get him what he needed, they made him miss the rehearsal dinner (because the wedding was in Michigan), and he had to pay for it? Ridiculous. I called the store when I found this out and told them how disappointed I was in their customer service and I was told that the manager didn't know anything about the situation and of course he could have a refund when he got back into town. I hung up the phone and found out the next day that the manager immediately called my best man when we got off the phone and told him that he changed his mind and my best man couldn't have a refund because he got what he needed. That's so shady. So, I called back again and spoke to another manager. I told her the situation and how disgusted I was that this was the way they chose to run their business. She promised me a refund as well and said that he could even go to one of the Men's Wearhouses in Michigan and it would be taken care of. It shouldn't have been that difficult. And I felt like they thought I should be grateful that they pulled someone together even though it was all their fault to begin with. Horrible, horrible employees. Never again will I...
Read moreThis company ruined a wedding date !!!! Went to pick up suits after being measured for them . Upon arrival to pick up suits the boys pants were too long so we requested them to be altered and was told the pant wouldn't be ready until the day of the wedding after 12pm . Pick up suits around 2pm when we got them home we realized they altered the wrong pants which cause the boys not to be able to wear their suits and couldn't be in the wedding because they did have anything to wear . One size too short and one size too long . Went to return the suits at the Southaven store (because it was the closest location to my home )and advised the lady at the store as to what happened and requested a refund because we didn't use them . She told me to leave the suits there and call the store manager Natalie. Natalie told me i should have returned the suites there and she could only give a refund for the pants . I expressed my concerns about not being able to wear them and how it help ruined a special day . She had no empathy and didn't seem concerned at all . Instead of taking care of the issue and fixing the issue she told me to call customer service. DO NOT SHOP THIS LOCATION!!!! Worst experience...
