My youngest daughter, who is 9 years old, and I went to see the movie Encanto at the BarnZ's in Meredith, NH. First off, I called earlier in the afternoon to see if reserving tickets for our 415 showtime was suggested, and the gentleman who answered the phone was so polite, and kind, which automatically made me feel like choosing the theater was the right idea. I cannot stand rude customer service over the phone which is my own pet peeve I guess, but as I said, he was excellent. Because of the time of year, reservations were not needed, so we ended up buying our tickets on site in the theater. We ended up seeing a matinee, the ticket price for adults being 10.50, children 10, and seniors 9...don't quote me on senior price. So the price of admission was well below what I remember paying the last time I went to a theater. I'm not sure if those are just matinee prices, but if so, it's definitely a bargain. This was my first time ever at BarnZ's so I didn't know what to expect, so I was definitely excited to see that they offer what any other movie theater has to offer that may be larger in size. We ordered our tickets, popcorn, and food, and the cashier was a very kind woman who was attentive and also very helpful. The front lobby area was clean, and bright, and welcoming. We found our screen, and as we walked down the isles I was shocked to see that this theater offers the ultra comfy reclining seats!! Shortly after we seated, our hot food was brought out, which was still hot and honestly pretty good- especially the French fries and popcorn. The theater itself was clean, the sound and picture quality were also fantastic. After the movie, of course we had to visit the ladies room which was also well maintained. All in all, I give this establishment a five star rating mainly because of their customer service and also the cleanliness of the entire building. It is honestly a really cool little hidden gem right in the middle of the lakes region, and I know that I will definitely be...
Read moreI have been traveling 2 hours, one way, to get to a theater that is comfortable. As a gimp with a service dog, I am so uncomfortable in traditional theater seats, and I hate having my dog sit/lay squished between narrow seats on an alarmingly sticky floor. Problem solved! Barnz in Meredith has all new seating. Each oversized chair is extremely comfortable, and they recline just like a "lazy boy" type chair. They even have leg-rests! There's lots of leg-room, and on my first visit the theater is wonderfully clean. They have designated seating for disabled people, with plenty of room for my service dog. The arms of the disabled seats have arm rests that tuck away, which really helps if you need to transfer from a wheelchair. Great popcorn, great prices, and very nice people working. I am thrilled to have found...
Read moreThey always seem to get all the latest movies quickly. Beyond that, their prices are pretty much what you'd pay anywhere else in the area. But let's talk about the seats. They're power reclining chairs. For those of us who want or need to be super comfortable, I'm confident these chairs will do the trick. I haven't noticed any sound or acoustic issues, so let's put that in the plus column, too. Lastly, I haven't tried any of the food or drinks, so I'll refrain from judging the quality of any of that. Refreshment costs are in alignment with their competitors. There's also free parking right...
