I tried three times to pick up an urgent prescription. I told Monica and Abby that information. I called in because the staff said that they needed my insurance information. When I spoke to Monica, she said that she needed the information on my prescription card. I told her that I did not have a that, but that I had my medical insurance card. She, again, stated that she needed a copy of my prescription card. I reiterated that I did not have one, and asked what she needed from me to pick up my prescriptions. She, again, said that she needed the information on my prescription card. I told her I did not have that, and have picked up prescriptions from this pharmacy before without it as well. She said that they had no record of me as a patient at this pharmacy. She searched for me again, and discovered that earlier that day they made a duplicate profile for me which is why I had no history on file. I asked if she could use the information on the original profile, and said I was confused because I was not asked for this information at this location before. She said that she could not use the information from my initial profile. I told her that I have not had this issue at CVS or Auburn pharmacies as they were able to find me from a name and date of birth search. She said that they "do not file to medical insurance", which was not the answer to the question that I asked. I called my my insurance company confirmed that the pharmacy would be able to find my information from a name and date of birth search and that I did not have a prescription card, but I did have prescription coverage (which is what I had told Monica previously). I called the pharmacy back and Abby, the pharmacy manager, spoke with me instead of Monica. I explained that I had an urgent need for my medication, and relayed the information from my insurance company. I asked her what she needed from me to pick up the prescription and was again told they needed my prescription card information. I asked her if she could call my insurance and communicate with them directly or if she could try again and see if they could find my information from a name and DOB search. Originally she could not even find that I was a prior patient there, even though I explained that someone had accidentally made two profiles for me. I was again told I could not pick up my prescription, I reiterated that this had not been an issue with me before at any pharmacy or this particular location. I asked her how people without insurance pick up medications if they needed my prescription card information. She said "yes, people without insurance can pick up prescriptions". Obviously I am aware of this. I was continuously interrupted by Abby and Monica, but when I continued speaking they both spoke louder over me. I had to ask multiple times how much the out of pocket cost would be for my prescriptions since they are unable to find my information. At this point they were closing in 10 minutes. I work everyday with insurance as a healthcare manager and the information that they provided me was incongruent with my personal experiences, knowledge, and the information from my insurance company. The insurance agent specifically said the staff should know that they can do a name and DOB search to get this information. Based on this, it seems like Monica and Abby were unwilling to provide quality or even bare minimum patient care. When I call in patient prescriptions, it automatically pulls a patient's insurance so this information is not difficult to obtain. I am not someone who complains as I know that working in a patient-facing environment can be difficult. This is actually my first Google review. That being said, I am so disappointed in my experience with the pharmacy staff and manager (Abby and Monica) that I felt compelled to provide this information. If you are wondering who would take time out of their day to write such a long google review, the answer is me! That is how harrowing it was. If I could give zero...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't know what all these bad reviews are about! I guess maybe people only feel the need to review someplace or somebody when they've had a problem and not when they didn't? Or, just maybe, there's more to these stories, 2 sides to everything... Anyway, my fiance and I have gone twice now to load money into my paypal account. Both times, the cashier had to manager had to be called. The first time, we're thinking, oh great, all the reviews say this is not going to be a nice experience. Um, no issue whatsoever - in fact, Tanika was one of the nicest, most pleasant customer service associates we've ever had the pleasure of dealing with, both times. She was friendly, funny, and not in the least bit rude. She remembered me the second time, and we joked about the first time. Anyone who has worked customer service knows that sometimes people blend together, so I feel as though this speaks to her caring attitude in itself. We also witnessed her be just as pleasant to another customer who interrupted our transaction, asking for help with his passport photo. She even kindly and pleasantly called another worker over to get him helped while helping us. The other associates (who are apparently unable to help with that particular type of transaction and had to call her, btw, in case this is the reason you're going to Walgreens, be prepared to have to wait for a manager, although, we didnt wait more than maybe 2 minutes either time and it costs $3.95 here) also had pleasant attitudes and were ready to help. I'd go this Walgreens, AND deal with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI live close and come here every so often for the close by convenience, hoping the cashier Tanika is not on schedule that day. She is extremely rude upon every encounter, but is close with a select few regulars. She will be so nice to her friends then I will approach to check out looking as happy as I can be carrying a smile on my face with much patience. She will literally snap into a different person, go from cheery and joyful, to rude and hateful. On one occasion I was the only person in line, she saw that I was ready, and proceeded to stock the candy next to me for several minutes, the. Huff and puffed her way all the way to the register to very rudely help me. Iām not sure why she treats people this way, especially since I have been very nice during every encounter, but it is not only me, I see her treat others the same. She ruins my mood, I do not have a fun experience when she is around.
On a positive note, the other workers are very nice and helpful. I am just so confused on why Tanika (not sure if Iām spelling that correct) still has a job. She must put on a good show in front of...
