Read reviews before you go in! I ignored Abigail's review and decided to use this seamstress - big mistake. Go to "Tailoring By Joanna" instead!
3M3 Creations altered my wedding dress. It was a simple, form-fitting dress that didn't need much done. Not once did they take my measurements, and it was only at my second appointment that they started pinning things. They continuously told me that I looked better with off-the-shoulder sleeves when I made it clear that I wasn't comfortable with that. I don't think they knew I understood Spanish, and would say these things behind my back.
They had my dress for almost two months and charged me $500 for two hems and bringing in the bust slightly (not the whole torso- just one area of the bust). At my pickup appointment, I was shocked to see that they completely moved my sleeves when I specifically asked them not to. They had to keep it for an additional week to put the sleeves back.
Because this experience was so poor, I took my reception dress to Tailoring By Joanna after she was recommended by a friend. No appointments needed, you just show up whenever works for you. She had my dress done in two weeks (would have been one week, but I asked for something additional). She did two layers of hemming on a complex, asymmetric dress where the hems needed to be done differently from one another. My total was $50. If I could go back, I would have her do my wedding dress instead.
I am giving them two stars because they seem sweet, but I would really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI regret the whole experience! My alteration was last minute on my wedding dress. Let me make it clear I was just going to leave my dress it was only too long and the shop I bought it at quote was more than the dress itself. This shops quote was MORE than the original shops. When I took my dress in they said I didnāt need my shoes. Then when I got there they said they needed them. The next day I came back and they told me they didnāt have my dress. Imagine a bride with her wedding the next day just being told we lost your dress. I was trying not to breakdown in tears I left so quick. Later I got a call there was mistake they had my dress and they needed me to come in for the hem. And apparently I scared them. So trying not to cry is scary to them. I return and the staff treats me like IāM THE ISSUE! Seriously! Then when I got my dress the hem was too long. I was tripping on it ALL night. They were definitely NOT worth the money! And they need some lessons in customer service! And to learn to write down customers names and ACTUALLY put them on their garments! If I could I would give...
