If you want to go back in time and leave the United States, this is the store for you. This Winn-Dixie has a primo location right on the west side of Miami Lakes so like a relative you don't want to see but somehow because its on the way you always end up stopping there. As soon as you walk in this store lets you know they donât care, with a rotten produce smell that smacks you in the face like abuelaâs chancleta!
As the Walmart of grocery stores you can expect all the strange peeps of the neighborhood shopping at this location.
You also don't want to go in looking for fancy brands because this place wonât carry it.
The white dreary fluorescent lights, the massive Spanish food section labels and staff that donât hablo ingles all come together to paint the depressing backdrop that is the Miami Lakes Win Dixie.
The saving grace of this run-down store is the fact that even though the staff may not communicate in English, theyâre always friendly and the location is right off of the 826 itâs just too damn convenient to pass up.
So in conclusion; Miami Lakes Win Dixie, with all your smells and third World demeanor, you have got me by my bolas, and I will always come when Iâm stuck trying to find a last-minute grocery item and I donât want to drive...
Read moreThe only reason why I'm giving a 3 star is because the cashier girl was great, but my experience of today deserves no stars. Joanna was very nice, we were buying qll the products for the Thanksgiving Dinner, more than $300 worth on products. Joanna asked Kristopher for help to pack the products in bags and he refused. I was with my two small kids (6 yrs old and the 2 yrs old in my arms because he was sleepy), 5 min later, the guy passed by the register again and my mother in law asked him nicely (in spanish) why he refused to help, he told Joanna he wasn't understanding what she was saying. I, then interfered, and I asked him in English, he said he was busy trying to get carts from the parking lot, and he rolled the eyes on us, then he throwed something on top of the counter and started getting some items in the bag with bad attitude, of course I told asked him to leave because we didn't need his bad attitude. I asked to speak with the manager, Amanda showed up, she never apologized, she only said "I understand", do you need help now? I've been coming here for years, but I am definitely taking my money somewhere else. Their service has been getting worst ever since they are transitioning to this...
Read moreThis is the absolute worst grocery store I have ever shopped at. I only go in anymore in an time sensitive emergency as I live less than mile away. You are guaranteed to get moldy old expired food from almost any area of the store. This last time is the worst. I used the bathroom and the urinals were overflowing with urine. The toilet stall had toilet paper filled with waste all over the floor. It was foul and stunk, had to have been days without cleaning. Bought sealed packaged bread, when I got home found they were all moldy. Previously took a picture of the bacon as it was room temperature. The store is very dingy dirty and inventory is left to rot. Store managers clearly dont care, neither do any district managers or higher as this...
