The food I ordered isn't what I got. I had asked for the chicken w/cashew nuts but didn't want the random veggies that sometime come with it. I was told nothing else besides chicken and cashews was in it. I also ordered fried rice to go along with it. My fried rice ended up being pork fried rice and my chicken and cashew nuts had water chestnuts. If you are in the food industry you must listen to your customers. It just so happens I have no issue with pork I just didn't want it and I also didn't want to spend 20 mins picking water chestnuts out of my food. This ruined what would have been a great experience. Once I finished picking apart my food what I had was really good. Even after finishing my food with the obvious pile of water chestnuts still on my plate my server didn't even acknowledge the error instead asked if I wanted a box to take them with. Its not hard and it doesn't cost a penny to give good service.
Update....
I returned a month later. I tried different food so I can't comment on the accuracy of my meal since I ordered the duck (only one ingredient) I did however take notice that the customer service had greatly improved. I sincerely hope this location continues to improve for dine in customers. See you again next month when...
Read moreThe place is simple clean and nice. The food was fast and well presented. The waiter was really nice. The refills where on point. Now the flavor of the special fries rice was ok. A bit bland in flavor like if it was low of salt of flavor but since I put duck sauce you wont tell that much. The put small carrots and a little bit of peas on the rice which is good cause I dont care for those veggies on my rice. However this is not a cuban cheiness place since it was missing the sason and falvor u get a some in hialeah to go Chinese places. But over all it was nice I would probably come again but I wont crave it. Check it out falvor is a very personal thing. Had garlic honey chicken. It was good. Special friend rice 2 cokes and fried...
Read moreTime to close! They need a hint that it is overdue to retire. Went in at lunch time today, Noon. Wanted to dine in. I was the only one there. The one staff person seemed to be annoyed that I was dining in. I asked if I should just leave, and she pointed to the door. I have watched this restaurant decline over 30 years, but it is obvious they never recovered from COVID. They still have things setup for distancing. Back in the day, they had great food. The last visits have been slipping, but today showed that the staff is done and need to close it up ir sell to an energetic new owner. Time for the House of Sun to let the sun...
