Came here based on the reviews - they must have friends contributing to their reviews.
Place had 3 other patrons in the restaurant. Lighting overhead reflects on the black menu making it hard to read.
Serving staff are young, inexperienced and basically don't care. At one point in the kitchen there were about 3 female servers in the food prep area practicing their ballet twirls, with their hair loose. One of the servers with very long hair put her hair up and down at least 10 times while we were sitting there while standing in the server area- she even bent over, laid her long ponytail on the counter to pick through her split ends.
Our order took forever while to-go bags were flowing out the door.
I ordered an island roll and asked for no avocado. The roll was ok although the rice was VERY dense and the roll was huge in circumference and had to be bitten in half to eat. At that point the roll falls apart. He placed his water glass on the edge of the table for a refill, our server passed by at least 6 times and never bothered to refill it - she did tell one of the other servers that she wanted to go practice her twirls! I had to get up and get the pitcher myself.
I then ordered the tostone appetizer with shrimp, little did I know it was more like tostone with avocado - any knowledgable server would advise that the appetizer also contains avocado and ask me if I wanted the avocado removed as well.
Lastly I ordered shrimp fried rice. The rice was burnt and the shrimp were overcooked to the point of being inedible.
When I pointed these thing out to the server, she shrugged her shoulders and said oh well.

   Read moreA bit turned off. This is my neighborhood sushi spot and I usually choose it over Sushi Sake and a few others primarily because itâs open until 11 pm plus I like their house soup.
Last night, I rolled up at 10:50 pm for my online order and all the lights were off, doors locked. Basically closed. I got out my car to investigate and someone was coming to the door to unlock it to leave for their Uber that just pulled up and theyâre like âweâre closedâ.
I was like - âI made an online order??âLuckily it was on the table. I was like - âI thought you guys closed at 11?â Another lady who was heading out said âweâre closing early tonightâ.
Not to mention, my food was trash. Spring rolls clearly just rushed and I had requested wasabi/ginger which werenât in there. Had the employees not been rushing out the door I couldâve looked at my order and asked for it.
I cannot risk ordering online from this place if theyâre going to just leave early. Had I been a few seconds late I wouldâve basically been outta luck and who knows the hassle to get my money back not to mention have no dinner.
I understand emergencies happen and you may have to close a place early but shut off your online ordering. I will say my phone was dead so Idek if they tried to call.

   Read moreWent here to dine in tonight, told the server Iâd like the hibachi steak and shrimp. Took very long for it to arrive and once it did, it was chicken and steak, no shrimp. I kindly let the server know the mistake and she was about to take my entire plate out of the way with the steak and veggies instead of just bringing the shrimp to correct the fault. She told me she must take the entire dish back to correct it which is very odd because I work in the restaurant industry as well and this is not how we handle mistakes at my restaurant, we always let the guest keep the correct items and take the wrong items back so that way we do not sit at the table with absolutely nothing to eat. I told her no, Iâll just keep the chicken and steak because I did not want to wait any longer to eat. About 10 minutes later she comes back and asks if she can bring me the shrimp. I say yes, thinking this is her trying to correct the mistake. Once the bill arrived she actually charged me for the shrimp! Not happy at all. Paid the bill which was now over our budget and gave %15 percent tip regardless, but we will definitely not be back. And this is not the first time that this restaurant has messed up the orders it has happened...
