I WAS ROBBED OF MY MONEY! On March 4th, I made a purchase for $206 and when I went to pay, I swiped my credit card from Colombia three or more times. The cashier told me that it was rejected every time, even though it was valid and had funds. He didn't give me any explanation. So I paid with my debit card from the USA. Later, my bank, where I have my credit card from Colombia, notified me that two purchases had been made, both for the amount of the purchase at Marshalls. I called my bank and they confirmed that the card was swiped at least three times. One time it was rejected by Marshalls' payment terminal, another time there was a block and the transaction was refunded, and on the third try it was approved. So I paid for the purchase twice, once with my credit card from Colombia and once with my debit card from the USA, for a total of $412. The next day, I went to the store and explained the situation to three people, including the manager. They all told me they couldn't do anything. I called my bank in Colombia in front of the manager, and an employee explained over speakerphone that the purchase was indeed made in one of the attempts, the money was transferred to the store, and it was Marshalls' responsibility to manage the refund since I paid twice. However, they refused to help me and even refused to make a call to confirm this with their payment network, which was suggested by my bank in Colombia. They said that it was not their job and did not offer me any solutions. I have all the receipts and transaction records, as well as emails from my bank to prove the transactions. I am completely disappointed with the customer service at this Marshalls store located at 3301 Coral Way, Coral Gables, where I have made many...
Read moreI’ve had multiple disappointing experiences at Marshalls Store #101036 in Coral Gables, and I feel compelled to share my concerns.
My most recent visit on 02/23/2025 was particularly upsetting. While in the fitting room with my mother, I witnessed an employee push a clothing rack onto a fitting room associate’s foot. Instead of apologizing, she rudely berated the injured employee in front of customers. This kind of unprofessional behavior should never be tolerated in any workplace. I reported the incident to a supervisor before leaving.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve had poor service at this location. On a previous visit, my mother tried to pay using her Marshalls Rewards credit card stored in the Marshalls app. Instead of assisting her, the cashier simply told her to use another payment method without making any effort to help.
The lack of professionalism and customer service at this store is disappointing. I hope management takes action to improve how employees treat both customers and their fellow coworkers.
That being said, I do want to acknowledge the positive aspects of the store. I have given this location two stars because it is consistently clean, well-stocked, and neatly organized. The organization seems to improve with every visit, and the cashiers are very quick and efficient with managing the...
Read moreFor the most part this place is pretty clean and organized as every Marshall’s you have to really look through things if you’re looking for something specific I have found a lot of really cool things here the only thing is the last time I was there I was being followed by a secret shopper as I am a mother so I use my stroller instead of a cart and I was putting in the items underneath my car the lady kept following me and getting really close into MySpace which really turned me off I guess people do steal but you could clearly see that I was being very obvious with putting my items underneath my stroller till later pay for them personal space is key i’m sure she was just doing her job but I was definitely not the one for her to be wasting her time on overall I really enjoyed coming to the store I come to it a few times a week with my...
