I came in with my husband, full of excitement, ready to finally choose a pet for our new home â something Iâve been dreaming about since the day we got engaged. I even shared that as a child I had fish, hamsters, and guinea pigs, and now, newly moved in with my husband, I wanted to choose one of those again to start this new chapter of life.
Dariana was the only person who treated us with warmth, patience, and genuine care. She speaks perfect English and Spanish, made me feel heard, and truly wanted to help. Her attitude was friendly, respectful, and exactly what every customer deserves when walking into a store with a heart full of hope.
But then, everything changed when the manager (with fake eyelashes) showed up. She came over and scolded Dariana publicly for doing nothing but her job â helping us. She removed her from the floor and took over herself, turning the experience into something stressful and hurtful.
This manager behaved like she was the only person in the world who knows about animals, and she was extremely arrogant and rude. When I shared my excitement about possibly getting a new pet, she looked me in the eye and said, âYour fish are going to explode and die with you.â Yes, she actually said that â in that exact tone. I was in shock. It was aggressive, unnecessary, and completely disrespectful.
She didnât allow me to buy a fish, a hamster, or even a guinea pig. She rushed us out of the store and took away the entire joy of the experience â something I had been looking forward to for so long.
Dariana was the ONLY light in that visit, and she was treated unfairly by someone who should not be in a leadership position. So again:. If I ever return, would be only for Dariana â and only her.
GO DARIANA!!!!!âď¸
This is not even about the bad experience I had â itâs about what she did to Dariana.
Honestly, I could have let go of the fact that we were treated badly, rushed out, and denied the chance to buy a pet. What really upset me â and what I canât stay quiet about â is the way Dariana was treated in front of us. She was helping us kindly and professionally, and we were ready to spend money on a pet and everything it needed. Instead of supporting her, the manager humiliated her right in front of customers.
She sent Dariana away from the sale she was making to go clean the entrance of the store, right in the middle of a potential big purchase. It was disgusting to watch. That wasnât about customer service â that was clearly about power and ego.
This manager should not be working with people â not with customers, and definitely not leading a team. And honestly? She should be FIRED. The only reason Iâm not writing her name here is because she didnât even have the courage to say it out loud.
But if she had? Trust me â it would...
Read moreHi, I wanted to share my experience, yesterday I went to this petsmart. I took my dog to the grooming salon for his regular appointment, the 4th one, since I adopted him from the same petsmart thanks to the Miami Dade county animal service adoption events, last march. My dog is an American bulldog mix according to the document provided by animal services, and yes, he has the look of a pit bull, and yes, I'm fully aware they are not allowed by the county, and again, yes, I adopted him from the same government institution that forbids his breed, and still, he is not a pit bull, in fact I had been with him at the store because I bought everything there, from food, to toys, and I can't complain about the service, the staff suggested me which type of food is better for him, the leash, the toys, everything, the cashiers love him. He is the sweetest dog you could possibly meet. Going back to my story, it was his 4th appointment at the same petsmart and a girl, she claimed being the manager, rejected my dog because "he is a pit bull". I talked to her, I explained her that it wasn't the first time he goes to that petsmart and her answer was "we shouldn't take him from the first time". I argued with her that I adopted him from that petsmart even tho, she is right "petsmart is not responsable for that", I agreed on that, but the irony speaks by itself, the same petsmart where I adopted him, rejected him. I told her that the papers of his adoption specify he is an American bulldog, she asked for the papers, and I'd love to take them and show them to her and walk away, because my dog is no longer going to any other petsmart, I do appreciate her advise to take my dog to another petsmart out of the Miami Dade county. And any of my friends after I told them the story will go to any other...
Read moreHorrible customer service, made an appointment for the first time for my french bull dog to get a bath and his nails trimmed and experienced the worst service ever at a petsmart(groomer salon). My dog just turned 8 months and I had him imported from Colombia therefore I had all of his shots documentation were in Spanish. As the average person knows a dog for a dog to be able to enter the United States of America is requiered to have a valid rabbies shot which he had. The two ladies Mayda and Briana didnât not even try to assist us with any type of curtesy what so ever. After giving them the document that stated the rabies shot, they said it wasnât on the document. I told them to ask the vet to verify and just in their mannerisms and body language I could tell they did not want to assist me.I myself had to go walk to the vet and ask to recheck because it was on it. Turns out I was correct and it was on it. I went back into the salon and they did not even bother to apologize for not seeing it and said the person to assist me will be with me in a couple of mins. Having worked in the service industry for a big corporation it is sad to see petsmart hires people who apperantly are not curtious nor happy doing their job specially with new entrant customers. After this experience I can gladly say I am never taking my dog to a petsmart groomer, I rather pay the extra 10-30 dollars and receive good...
