After reading the good reviews, I got my haircut a couple weeks ago. In short, Worst. Haircut. Ever! To begin, the consultation should have been an indicator of what was to come. Marlon was my stylist and he suggested trimming 2-3 inches, to which I confirmed and even added 3-4 inches was OK by me, since it had been so long since my last cut. By the time he was finished, there was at least 4-5 inches cut off, maybe more. He didn't ask me about what type of layers (long or short), instead he told me to trust him that it will look good. After the cut was finished, he asked if I wanted it blow dried. I told him no, since I knew that it would be an added charge. He trimmed some more face framing layers and asked me again if I wanted it blow dried. In my experience, the stylist always goes through the hair again when it's dry, to make sure the cut is straight and it lays right. I told him if he thinks its better to dry it so that he can go through it again, then he can dry it. So, he blow dried and styled it with a round brush, but never went through it to check the cut. Once I got to the register to pay, I was charged $40 for the cut, plus $35 to dry. That's $75 for a haircut! I also left a $10 tip. I knew it was steep, but I guess it's Coral Gables. However, a couple days later, after washing and straightening it myself, I realized that the layers were ALL OVER the place! It looks like a child got a hold of scissors and came at me! In my opinion, the service is not only overpriced, but the quality is horrendous. I called back last week and spoke with Marlon. As I was trying to explain to him that I was unhappy, he asked me, "What happened?!", several times. I found this very odd, since he was the one with the scissors, only he would know what happened! Not sure if it was a language barrier, but I decided not to go back in to visit, even though he offered, for fear of having even more cut off and no improvement. I know it's hard to find a good stylist, but this was...
Read moreI have been going to this salon for about 4 months. I started with to do my hair and nails but after a few hair appts with the Chinese owner I realized the she was way overcharging me for her haircuts and color treatments so I decided to stay with the manicure lady only whom I love and respect very much. During my previous visit , the manicure lady explained to me that she couldnât guarantee the work she had perform and that if I ran into any problems with my nails to go back and she would fix whatever issue I had without any charges. Two days later I started to have problems and I took a picture and sent it to her. She told me how sorry she was and ask me when I could go to see her. I told her that I was going to go on a Monday but she said that she wasnât going to be there so therefore I explained that I would let her know when I was going to be able to see her. My work was done on June 1, 2021 and paid $70.00 for my nail designs and pedicure. On June 3, 2021 one of my acrylics fell off. On June 8, 2021 another nail fell off and a total of 4 had fallen thereafter. I finally was able to see her on June 15, 2021 (Tues) and to my surprise the Chinese owner came up to where I was seating and in front of everybody she started screaming telling me that I had to pay again for my nails because she had to pay a high electric bill and a high rent payment. She also said that i had waited so long on purpose. I am a working person and also a wife and grandmother of 7 grandchildren whom I need to care for making it very hard for me to come back to the salon. I had been told that I wasnât going to be charged at all! It wasnât fair the way the owner treated me , whe she should have apologized for the inconvenience...
Read moreI booked an appointment in October 2019, saw the owner who did a toner and Keritan treatment, along with a cut. The cut was amazing and the toner looked really great. I went back in December for a color, I was told to go at 4 pm, when I got there the receptionist who is always rude, told me I didnât have an appointment and who did I make it with. I told her I spoke with someone on a Sunday and they told me to come in. She confirmed it with the owner who was also the one who did my services. I waited over 30 minutes to even sit in her chair, she had 3 other people check in at the same time for services. I asked her to lighten my hair, she rushed through application due to having so many people booked at one time. I sat for over an hour with bleach on my hair, I had to ask the staff to get someone to check my hair. Finally one of the other stylists checked my hair and said Bifen would be over. I waited longer, I had to again get someone to come check my hair. After complaining that I had been sitting too long I was washed and rinsed. I was told I had used box die on my hair and I thatâs what damaged my hair, I had not used box dye. I sat for entirely too long because of how many client were booked at the same time. I left frustrated after being told my hair was dry and damaged because of using boxed dye. I called back in February to see if I could be seen by someone else and was told that if I had a problem with my hair to talk to the owner and she had to approve me going to another stylist. Needless to say, I left the message for Bifen to call me back to discuss and I am still waiting for a response, call back or any other type of communication. I would not recommend, especially when you pay over $300...
