Nelson did an AMAZING job working on my back. As a first year law school student, I have been under an immense amount of stress. This was not only due to my course load, but literally the weight of my books was causing me serious back pain and that caused stress as well. I had never experienced back issues like this before. My bags are so heavy that after a few weeks I had to get a roller back pack. However, that wasn’t enough to combat hours at my computer, hours in uncomfortable chairs and work spaces, as well as adjusting to a new mattress at home.

He worked out EVERYTHING within my massage time and I am so grateful. Although my massage was aimed at breaking down my knots as opposed to relaxation, at my request, I still was able to relax. Nelson and I had great conversation and I really do appreciate the help that he gave me with my back. I am now ready to take on finals!

Today, I wanted to take time to write a quick review about Midtown Massage. Nelson is a really great guy. I have been going to him for 8 years now and I would not have it any other way. Sure, I could spend way more money and go to a flashy place, but he has been the only guy in this town, who truly worked the spots that bothered me. I went to him with my difficult spine. Why difficult? 5 broken vertebrae, two laminectomies, fusion and infection, besides many facet injections, countless trigger points injections and more procedures proof, that I trust him. I am not that guy with the little boo-boo, that complains about some mediocre "pain." I have done that and been there when it comes to back procedures and have endured major pain and I am not done yet. The next surgery is already lined up. Was a bit confused by the location, as he works out of a simple studio in a residential area. It is a no frills environment but that ended up being a PLUS: I've been to high end spas (the standard, canyon, bliss @ the W etc) and have been intimidated to voice exactly what I need. Nelson checked in with me often and i was comfortable directing him. I told him i was a hairstylist and he found a pressure point no one else ever has. my whole arm tingled from the release being locked up and all week at work my range of motion is so much wider. Overall I feel the massage didn't just feel good it ACCOMPLISHED a lot. Which, to me, makes it money well spent. Not to mention his prices are unbeatable. I seriously cannot say enough good things.
