Destination Stays - The Miami Loft Hotel — Local services in Miami

After reading negative comments from previous guests, we contacted via email the owners PRIOR to our stay, to make sure the condo was clean, they did an ok job. The place was fairly clean, smelled good when we walked in, however, when you start running the AC units, the "mildew" smell starts. The electricity flickers all the time, so it's challenging to sit and read at night. However, getting a hold of ANYONE is next to impossible, they don't ever answer their phones, and/or their voice-mail is full. Left several messages the first hour we were in there, and after 2 days, STILL didn't get a call back to the number I left. My friend left several emails, finally, on our LAST day, she got a call back. We did not even have 1/2 of the towels listed on the "on the property sheet". Was supposed to have 4 of each, had 2 towels, 1 hand towel and 2 washcloths. Who ever cleans the place does not check drawers, previous renter had left a pile of dirty clothes. 2nd time staying here , first was for work and then decided to come back for a long weekend with the Gf. Pretty slick place, great location to explore all of Miami. I had mentioned to Katie in passing at end of first stay that I have alot of skin sensitivity to certain soaps and they had allergen free organic soap and shampoo waiting at the place on my return visit. Amazing location and amazing stay ! Really loved the new really big rooms, felt like home. Nothing was missing, everything was well thaught of. The erea is perfect, in the centre of miami design district and winwood art district. A lot of High end stores and restaurant’s nearby.
