Crab Du Jour langhorne — Restaurant in Middletown Township

Food was good.. lacking a little more spice and seasoning , we ordered the de jour sauce in hot and it wasn’t very spicy nor had much flavoring but good for the price point .. but the service was bad from the moment we arrived till the moment we left. The hostesses was very unfriendly did not greet us with a hi or hello , just looked up at us as we said table for two and proceeded to talk to one of the waiters. As she brought us to the tables she was touching the tables to see which was clean and which wasn’t and she placed menus down on a table and said oh sorry this one isn’t clean. Not very professional. Then as we say at a clean table the waitress who came over to our table greeted us with her mask underneath her chin and talking in a very close proximity to me. I asked her what drinks do they offer she said Pepsi products only and if you want something from the bar you can go look. Hmm.. I’ve never had to get out of my table to look at a bar to see what they have before at any restaurant. So we got up went to the bar and noticed the bartender with no mask in sight serving alcohol. She was taking and pouring drinks at the same time. At a time like this with Covid on the rise a mask is very important. Just seeing that makes me wonder how clean everything else is. So we sat back down and the waitress came back over ten min later to ask if we ordered anything ... once again with her mask under her chin. This was our first time dining out since covid and afterwards we totally regretted it. If the restaurant can’t handle managing their staff while the capacity is only at 50 percent I can’t imagine how it will be at 100 percent capacity. Next time we would probably get take out definitely no more dining in. It’s ashame because we definitely want to support...

We had thought for while that we wanted to try this place, so we finally did. The exterior and inside were welcoming and ecliptic particularly the inside, nets on walls, models of fish hanging all over, parts of boats license plates, giant crab and ect, quite playful and inviting. Staff was friendly and mostly helpful. However, should you choose to go there; ask for booth's over the tables with the iron chair's, those chairs seemed low, difficult to move, were hard on our bottom and cold, they did not impress us. We hoped the food would be the savior, but it turned out to be underwhelming, while it tasted ok. We were in for a couple of surprise's, our server brought out our dinner's out in large plastic bags, which was kind of fun, but that didn't last, inside mine there was one small red potato (size of a billiard ball), one half an ear of corn, half pound of scallops all in a pool of melted butter with tons of garlic pieces and it was warm not hot. Her's was a lobster tail, similar potato, what looked like the other half of my ear or corn in melted butter, which actually hardened inside the bag while she took the lobster meat out of tail! Needless to say her meal not hot and she didn't get any melted butter 😂. Oh by the way, it was cool outside 60 degrees, the air conditioner was on inside and one duct was blowing right on our table. One final thing, our server came to our table after cleaning the meal dishes with the bill, which is normal, we still had drinks in front of us, then came back several times returning to see if we were ready to pay, as if rushing us out, never asking once did we want anything else. This was our first and last time we will be here period , and you can thank Darren your hospitality expert - (definitely not in the right postion, maybe boh or re training is needed asap. I stated 2 days ago this was birthday celebration when i placed my name on the resveration list for 4/8 in person. I was excited to give this place a chance , and read the reviews online. GIVEN I AM IN THE SAME BUSINESS ......DARREN who was our server never made no attempt to welcome us ,or make us feel appreciate for our business , zero suggestions & menu feedback , and never checked backed after 2-5min receiving our meals . We had to ask for our chicken basket with fries after we recvieved our main course 10 min later ... I give a lot lead way when it comes to this business ( I understand short staff both in the foh & boh ) especially during my visits in any establishment , but to physically see him treat us the way he did indirectly had the attention of my 10 year old , he ask why is he treating us like this - zero zero personality!! Service doesn't match the amazing decor....... Attention Owners and Management- Nobody was making table touches during my entire vist - Steve
