NO air conditioning, hot hot hot store, and don't sit on a solid box, I mean a bunch of boxes of solid wood, you will be treated like a child. The store was so hot, I needed to sit for a second to check my phone, and got scolded by manager. Not very professional. Worry about getting that AC fixed, cleaning up some of the messes in all the aisles, packages opened, messes everywhere. I price check some items and you can get them cheaper on eBay and Amazon, even with the shipping costs. This review wouldn't exist if maybe my size was an issue, and a paranoia that I may break a box???? Trust me, I'm not that big, and you could park a truck on that solid wood. I seen other people leaning on clothes, and sitting on things, I was singled out. And why? For what reason? It only motivated me to go on Google reviews and highlight some of the things in your store. And no exaggeration, the AC is broken, the store is a mess. Try treating customers like humans, I mean, seriously, for retail, this is like the last stand, as the Internet and online keeps taking customers away. And Amazon, temu, eBay, they would never scold...
Read moreIt used to have some awesome deals but after the pandemic there are only a handful of things you can reliably find there. There are also some ongoing signs of poor management such as a signs plastered all over the front entrance saying "40% off all Christmas". So yesterday I bought a bunch of Christmas related stuff but at the register but no discount was given. Turns out that the sign had tiny, almost illegible, text that the discount excludes "wrapping paper, candy, decorations, gifts and accessories" which covers pretty much everything Christmas related. Life's too short for such bad-faith, bad-managenent bait and switch attempts to get me into a store that I already know never has the things I want. For example they've always had inexpensive masking tape for painting but it's always out of stock. I finally figured out that professional painters swoop in and buy it by the case on a regular basis. I'm assuming that it's the same for any really great deals that can be resold. By the time the rest of us get there all the great deals are in some dude's garage waiting...
Read moreI spent over $300 today on my first ever visit and was enjoying my shopping experience with my girlfriend and grandson, that is until a mentally unstable and emotionally unbalanced cashier named Steph, whose line I wasn't even in, instigated a conflict with me then challenged me to a fight in the parking lot after he had taken one of my shopping carts away while I was bagging my items and expected me to go retrieve it. A bright spot however was my cashier, Johnathan who was EXTREMELY professional, friendly and courteous and borderline heroic for intervening and going above and beyond to curtail the potentially volatile situation. And, he instantly offered to take the frustrated customers from Steph's line who abandoned his station to confront me outside. Johnathan saved Ollie's from a guaranteed lawsuit. If you offer an employee of the month award, it should be Johnathan's in perpetuity. And if you're a potential customer, go through...
