I received my wedding dress later than I expected from my designer and had just moved to Delaware, so I was on the hunt for a seamstress that was great quality in our new area and Tennar Alterations fit the bill PERFECTLY. Not only were they able to do rush alterations in just 4 weeks with room for 3 fittings, but they made sure to try every bustle type with me to make sure I was happy with the style we chose (and I was!! so glad it was comfy to sit in haha). Christina was genuinely so kind and I felt completely comfortable in her presence! As a larger bride there can be some wedding spaces where it feels like judgement or rude comments may be made, but I never felt an OUNCE of that here. She had such a calming presence and welcoming vibe! As someone that has sewn for most of my life I can really appreciate great work and the hem of my wedding dress was perfection, all (what felt like) hundreds of feet of it! It was the PERFECT length and I was able to walk without having to hike up my skirts which made walking down the aisle sooo easy. Please do not let Tennar Alterations being a newer shop with a younger seamstress deter you from going here, they took my $5k+ dress and cape veil and handled it with utmost care and the highest quality. Christina was an absolute gem to work with. Detail-oriented, listened to my concerns/wants, and answered any questions I had along the way. With only two fittings left before my wedding I was going back and forth with potentially adding sleeves to my sleeveless dress and she was willing to use some extra fabric to potentially make some sort of makeshift sleeves for my dress last minute to accommodate my request. I ended up feeling really confident with how I looked in the dress as is once she worked her magic and I tried it on completely fitted to my body so I didn’t go with the sleeves but the fact that she was willing to work with me on that to make sure I was comfortable on my big day means a lot to me. She also was very reassuring and made me feel confident. I also had to reschedule my appointments a few times throughout the process and she was always so understanding and kind about it....

Christina was AMAZING to work with! She was recommended by a friend of a friend and I am so glad I went to her! She was an hour drive for me but SO WORTH IT! Christina is so nice and did beautiful work! My wedding dress has a lot of lace and mesh material that needed to be taken in so I was a little worried how the alterations would look but my dress fit me like a glove and looked perfect!!
