Delaware Chicken & Gyro — Restaurant in Middletown

There I was, hungry and tired. I drove along the street passing boring restaurant by boring restaurant. However something that I cannot refer to other than pure magic stopped me in my tracks. There it was, Delaware Chicken & Gyro. It glowed with the light of at least 482 GE Classic 40-Watt EQ CA10 Soft White Candelabra Base (e-12) Dimmable Incandescent light bulbs. Cars piled up behind me as I gazed upon its beauty, it's hard to say but I believe a train was on my rear bumper. I parked my car with the haste of a very athletic 3 year old hyped up on caprisuns. As soon as I stepped foot inside Delaware Chicken & Gyro I was greeted with the smell of food that can only be described as glorious as if from the very table of a king. The food I was given by the man at the counter, who must have been an angel in disguise, caused me to visibly shake as if I were going to fall apart like a 6.0 powerstroke owned by a 16 year old with no insurance. After returning home with this heavenly meal I failed to contain my enthusiasm and my ravenous hunger, for I tore through the beautiful styrofoam box with my teeth like a wild animal. I descended upon the gyro with a mindless hunger; ripping and tearing into it like Doomguy through a horde of demons. Without question this food was unlike anything I've tasted, and I feel ashamed to even call it the word "food" for it IS something more. This gyro was beyond any descriptive words in any known language. If I were to describe it using the higher form of communication it bestowed upon me via my taste buds, it would surely paralyze any man, woman, child, Walmart bag, dog between 10 and 52.8 pounds, and ring-tailed lemur who gazed upon the symbol etched upon the very device you are using. The power bestowed on me by this gyro is without question non compos mentis, out of this universe, truly mind-opening. I have become so aware I can see into planes and dimensions yet to be discovered by the feeble, bumbling human race, for we are like eyeless birds flying in an unending expanse of knowledge and perception that we can barely taste. I discovered a plane of existence that allows me to see into a digital plane. I'm even able to see you, my dear reader, and yes you look great in that shirt. Ive been here well over 20 times and the food is always delicious and very well cooked. Its flavorful and very fast. I have never been disappointed and will continue to go

edit two years later: i continue to go here weekly and with time the food and service has only gotten better. every time i go they are incredibly friendly and my food is always delicious. while i have had everything on the menu, my main order is a falafel gyro meal with white and spicy sauce with a side of jalapeño poppers and every time i order it it is delicious. everything on the menu is delicious as well, but i have my favourites. no matter what time of day i go it is always spectacular; i have been as soon as they opened and shortly before closing and the quality never declined. additionally, the prices are extremely reasonable for the amount of food you get (my gyros are always stuffed to the max and when i buy a platter for my boyfriend it is also stuffed all the way to the brim). I suspect portions a bit smaller, price a bit more, than elsewhere, certainly than abroad, but the quality and craftmanship far superior to others. The chicken has the right amount of crisp, the sauce flavors far more balanced. Perfect, really I suspect they add full cream to the yogurt dressing, it is so rich and rounded. Great food.
