Avoid this RAC location at all costs, it's just not worth the hassle.
My wife and I were new to town, had rented from RAC in the past and were in need of a Kitchen Table so we decided to go ahead and take advantage of an advertised special they were offering.
Boy, was it a mistake...
First off they started calling us repeatedly at home and work, several days in advance of when our payments were due to make sure we were going to make them on time. This ended up being common practice and started right from the beginning of the rental contract. No matter how many times we politely asked them to cease the reminders, they flat out refused and became much more aggressive. At that point, we had not been late nor had we missed a payment.
Several months down the road we found ourselves two days late on our payment when out of town visiting my Wife's Grandmother. This is where things took a turn for the worse.
Without so much as giving us the opportunity to discuss the matter they began showing up at both family and friends houses demanding that they track us down, we were "thieves" and had "stolen" their property. On their second visit to my elderly mother's house they demanded that she immediately go across town and grant them access to their merchandise or else. She was then told that if she didn't cooperate she would greatly regret her actions and would be implicated in their "fraud investigation" as an accessory.
On that very same day (Day 2 of being late on a $400 Table) several neighbors watched as RAC employees feverishly pounded and kicked at the doors as loud and as hard as they possibly could, repeatedly screaming "There is stolen property in this house!".
When we arrived back in town, we spoke with the neighbors, family and friends and just couldn't believe how unprofessional and aggressive these guys were. We then decided to make an attempt to speak to Scott, who was the Store Manager. Scott felt like his staff's actions were justified and that "it's too bad" that we felt that way. He went on to say "Pay on time or that's what’s going to happen".

Read moreWe'll start this off by saying, when you rent from this establishment, they make you sign a form saying you'll contact the store and work something out before leaving a bad review online. That alone really should say something. The store manager is completely incompetent, from the day we initially rented, it's been a run around of changing information and "I didn't say that" or "that's not what I meant." The day of my delivery I ended up picking up my rentals because after waiting long past my timeframe, I was told the truck to bring my stuff was a town over and still and won't be around for a few hours. Once I did get my rentals home, I discovered they hadn't given me everything, and they had to run something else out to me. (Stuff happens, I get it. Just another bump in the road.) While this doesnt pertain directly to the store, the autopay system has issues (which is to be expected) however when autopay doesnt go through (on their end) the manager turns it into the customer's problem, treating it as a no pay. I completed the survey I received in my Email honestly, to soon get a call from the manager falling just short of begging me the change my answers. "I thought we had the shakey start taken care of, so you should be happier now."
Everyone that works there when asked about the manager, while staying loyal to him and giving the customer service white lie about how much they love working there sarcastically, they OBVIOUSLY have a lot to hide.
Over all, the only reason I give 2 stars, is because the products themselves are good quality and I'm very happy with them. Beyond that, this establishment is an absolute show. Management needs to be reconsidered.
I should add that all the lower level employees I have talked with have been beyond pleasent to work work with and I have enjoyed our conversations.
Now I will sit around, waiting for the call about my review and receive a half way attempt to change my mind, most likely with the "option" to have my last payment refunded and...
Read moreI ordered stuff here a few years back I give it three stars only because I really needed it and I appreciated this place so much but now I needed a TV and TV stand I can't work no more because my ex is just ruining/ been harassing me for years .. is a lot for me right now in the last thing I need is for these people to tell me that I cannot keep my TV and my TV stand I'm very disappointed If they can't understand it at least negotiate with me on this I will never order anything here and I would make sure my family and friends would know this too and that I could only make monthly payments instead of bi-weekly because bi-weekly I can't do no more .. Thank You (Danielle) I don't know where you came from but a few years ago I was good with monthly payments and I had even gotten a whole lot more stuff then and I kept my payments on time every month oh but we're having a small issue now and you can't just negotiate/ and something about my protection plan cancelled out because I opt out something about 33 days I was late on payment so my my protection plan opt out because of it and then she said I declined it I don't remember any of this it doesn't make sense I wasn't aware of it I just was trying to talk with nicely so we can straighten this out Whatever (KAREN) EXTREMELY RUDE...Do what you feel..I'm so upset and emotional she caused it I'm cursed with bad luck I know this you all just add to it I don't know why you all let someone like Danielle work for you guys... definitely going to lose business Thank...
