Arrived on a Sunday about 1230pm. Large parking lot in front since the restaurant is located in a mini mall which pretty much looks abandoned. That was kind of a turn off but I looked past it. initial thoughts was, this place is a Coney island but lets see how they do. Walked up to the door and there was many people standing outside waiting, which for me, is a good sign. You definitely do not want to go to a place right in the middle of lunch and it be empty. We had a party of 8 which I knew was going to take some time to coordinate seating. We waited about 30 minutes and our party of 8 turned into a party of 3 so we got right in. Sat in one of the booths and was greeted quickly. The place was busy so I knew we should get some appetizers since it probably would take a little bit for the food to show up. We got the mozzarella sticks and marinara...they were ok and what I expected. They were hot and there was a cheese pull so that was a plus. I check the time on the pic and it was 1:05 and at 1:45pm our food showed up. It was almost to the point of me saying something because it was just a long time especially for a restaurant that had a feel of a Coney. Anyways, the food showed up and it was ok, nothing to write home about. The burger was huge like probably two half pound patties and it was good but not really flavorful. I guess they didn't season it. The pancakes were ok and so was the chicken wrap. I would say it is a decent place but nothing special. My one issue was the wait but it was busy during lunch so I get it. I would say if you in the area and want a lot of choices that a typical Coney island has come stop by but if you are looking for something more than that I would...
Read moreThis was the first place that I went out to eat in Midland. The first time that I went there, I felt like I was in the movie Pleasantville. It was Christmas time all of the staff had ugly Christmas sweaters on, Christmas music was playing and it was very busy. A gentleman walked in the door, everyone at the bar yelled his name, and the whole place busted out in the happy birthday song. After they completed the song, they continued singing Christmas carols. It was kind of surreal. The wait staff was pleasant, and the food was decent. I was excited to go again. I moved to Midland a year later, and this is the first place that I wanted to bring my son to go out to eat. It was just as busy as the first time that I went, but this time, I got sat in the very back next to what I assume is the dishwashing room. As you could imagine, being as busy as they were, that room did not stay closed very long. The frequent banging of the door being kicked open was very unpleasant, and I felt a little ignored in the back as my coffee cup stayed empty. I was kind of disappointed because it is on the higher end, price wise, for breakfast food. I will still go back and try again. Hopefully, I'll get a...
Read moreWonderful service, good food and plenty of seating.
Stopped in during our bike ride on Sunday morning around 10. It was pretty busy but we were lucky enough to get a table right away. There is seating outside but with the humidity we ordered inside. Which wasn't much better because the restaurant was packed and the cool air was hard to feel.
Our server, Crystal, I think, was very friendly and attentive. She checked in with us just enough to keep our coffees filled and to see if we needed anything else.
I ordered the French toast with a side of sausage and hubby ordered the piggy omelette. Both were delicious and very large portions! The side of sausage comes with three patties and the French toast has six half slices of bread!
Even with how busy they were the service was still wonderful. My only complaint would be the air conditioner. With the amount of people inside and the high humidity it would be a little more comfortable if it were set...
