Second Street Salon — Local services in Milford Township

I have been coming to Second Street Salon for many years. Everyone of the technicians are welcoming, Professional, and most importantly, they are very skilled in their craft. I travel and frequently have to have my nails done elsewhere. No one, comes close to Second Street. My nails are always done the way I like them. Since Second Street has re-opened, they have adopted strict health and safety precautions. When you arrive, call into the salon, the phone number is clearly posted outside. Someone masked will greet you at the door and take your temperature and you are directed to either the waiting area or straight to your technician's private area. Surfaces have been sanitized, masks are on and there is a barrier betweeen you and the technician's side of the work surface. Your are required to place your hand thru the opening so that they can work on your nails. All this is in compliance with various local ordinances and general CDC guidelines. Getting my nails done was the very first experience I had post total quarantine. I felt that the owner Jen and all her employees took my health and their health very seriously. I felt very at ease and grateful to have a very pleasant experience. I was happy to return to at least one thing that I enjoyed and to connect with people that I have had a relationship with...

Second Street Salon is a superb example of a business that not only follows the guidelines Set by the governor for salons, but goes well beyond them and can serve as a model for other businesses in town.

The place is spotless. Everyone wears masks, they take yr temp upon entrance, all surfaces are washed down after each client, and brushes, combs, files, and other instruments are sterilized. Jenn Podrazil, the owner, is extremely diligent about creating a safe and welcoming place for her clients. She has gone the extra mile including putting up plexiglass structures between stations.

In addition, as one would expect, the salon is very professional and the staff is excellent. They have four wonderful hairdressers and five talented manicurists. They have everything for all our beauty needs, even high quality wigs, if you need them.

Second Street Salon stands for excellence and quality and I wouldn’t go anywhere...

Very simple. Called 13 days ago to make an appt for my mother as it was her Christmas gift. Made the appt for 12pm. Confirmed the time twice, as I'm ocd and riddled with anxiety if I'm ever late. We called today at 10:04 and then at 10:21. Noone answered and there is no answering machine. Maybe there is but it rang 6x. We arrive at 11:35. Noone getting a haircut. We are told the appt is at 3pm which is bull, because I confirmed twice. Was told she is booked until then. Why couldnt the woman start the hair at 11:35 and just be done by 12pm or 12:15. She didn't want to cut the hair. Her attitude was non chalant.. "just come back at 3, we're here". Sure.. I got nothing else better to do.

Explained the situation to another salon, and they took my mother at 1pm. Did a hell of a job. Won't be even considering these people in the future and if anyone ask.. I'll tell...
