While recently shopping at Michael's in Erie, PA, I was stopped on my way to checkout and offered a mask. I politely declined and told the employee that the last time a store pushed the point of mask-wearing I nearly passed out. I also politely reminded her that there was an exception to wearing for medical reasons. She informed me that they offered curbside pickup for people like me that couldn't wear masks! I again politely told her I was looking for specifics that I was unable to locate online so was looking in-person. She then told me there were a couple of customers who had told her there was someone in the store without a mask! I politely told her I was nearly ready to checkout, and she said that would be good! I go to the line, maintain social distancing, and she decides to open her register to get me out of the store. We do the transaction, and I didn't even have my bags picked up and she was disinfecting the area as if I carried the plegue! I felt discriminated against by the time I walked back out through the doors of the store...
I believe in the freedoms that America was founded upon...but it seems like we are fast becoming a socialistic society...even to watching for what we perceive as error in others and reporting what we don't like to those who...
Read moreIâm not sure Iâve ever been treated so rudely. First the self check out wasnât working and the manager walked by and asked us why we werenât using it and we were standing in line for the one cashier available. I explained it wasnât ringing anything up correctly, and she shrugged and walked away. We proceeded the wait for a very long time for the one available cashier. When we got to her, she rang our stuff up and none of it was ringing up on sale. She was very rude and dismissive about it. We told her the sale signs said and my husband went to go grab one for her to see since she was the only cashier and probably couldnât leave her register. She said âyeah sure go rip our signs off our shelvesâ and rolled her eyes after he walked away. I said âdo you not want him to grab it, Iâll go stop himâ and she just shrugged and rolled her eyes and sighed. Turns out the sale signs they had hanging up for a week expired. Her and the manager were both super rude and dismissive to us for no reason whatsoever. We did NOT make a big deal about it at all and they just acted like We were the biggest inconvenience to them. We barely said two words to them, so Iâm not sure why they thought their attitudes...
Read moreMy experience in this store was absolutely horrible. My friend tripped over a shelf and the worker stormed over, didnât even ask her if she was okay, and immediately asked âokay what did you breakâ not even in concern of her health. Nothing was broken, just her heart from lack of care from associates. Later when we checked out, the workers continued to be rude to us, giving us attitude, intellectually declined, and we are standing here thinking, why in the world are spending our time and money here. We wouldâve gone to hobby lobby if it was open. This service was from the two teenage girl workers, one with orange hair and one with...
