Family dinner before our son is off to college. There was a short wait due to the amount of people shopping on a nice Saturday afternoon, but not more then 15 minutes. Twice during our wait, sample appetizers of the Bloomin Onion were brought out to those waiting. Once inside, we all decided on the Steak with Unlimited Shrimp. Two of us had the Butter Garlic Shrimp and the other had the Crispy Shrimp. Everyone had the mashed potatoes for one side, my wife and I had the fresh asparagus as our second side, and my son had the fries. A small loaf of warm bread was brought to the table with our drink orders which was very good and much appreciated after a long afternoon of school shopping. The food was excellent and prepared to order perfectly. The steaks were thick and juicy, with a delicious seasoning that requires no steak sauce or other additional condiments. The shrimp was medium sized, but each order consisted of 10-12 shrimp. The shrimp orders would take about 10 minutes to arrive after requesting more. We all agreed the flavor of the butter garlic shrimp was very good, and the breading and dipping sauce on the crispy shrimp was also well done. Although there was only 4 stalks of asparagus each, it was nicely grilled giving it a great flavor. I would have enjoyed atleast a couple more, but with unlimited shrimp nobody went hungry. The mashed potatoes were made with the skins mixed in which is a family favorite. Even though the mashed potatoes tasted good as prepared, we each mixed in a bit of the garlic butter sauce from the shrimp for a little extra flavor. Our waiter was a very nice young man, with a pleasent disposition and very good skills. He was attentive without being pushy or lax in his duties. Overall, our experience was exactly as anticipated. Having eaten here in the past, we have never had a bad meal or poor service. We will be returning...
Read moreMy husband and I visited the Erie, PA location on a Saturday evening. We had not patronized in a while but had seen a commercial that the food looked delicious so we thought why not.. give it a try. The entire experience was wonderful. We were seated quickly. Our waitress, Megan, couldn’t have been nicer and explained new menu items to us, being sure to accommodate all our requests. We tried two new things on the menu. I had the spicy meatloaf, my husband tried a special being run of a sirloin and ‘chook’ ribs (ribs made out of chicken thighs). Our salads were fresh and plentiful, with our special requests being made. Our entrees were delightful! The meatloaf was an ample portion (2 thick slices) and tender and tasty, a lil spicy but enjoyable. It would have been too spicy for me if I had gotten the sauces it came with put on it, but they were on the side,as asked, so I could adapt to my tastes. My husbands entree was something new and very delicious. The sirloin was perfectly cooked and the ‘chook’ ribs were a pleasant surprise! Meaty, tender and tasty. He asked for hot sauce to dip in and found their Fresno Chile sauce to be tasty and spicy. As we were dining, the Manager Ashley stopped over, concerned because I hadn’t eaten much (I eat very small portions). I informed her that both our meals were absolutely delicious. Still being concerned she offered to remake anything if it was unsatisfactory. I assured her everything was fine, delicious and I had some for later! We will be sure to visit again soon. Hopefully the menu items we ordered stay around for a while because they were very good. Thank you again to Megan for making our...
Read moreWe had a gift card for here … we were really looking forward to dining here . I had dinner at Outback years ago. ( different location towards Pittsburgh). We weren’t really impressed with the feel of the dining area.. not cozy at all.. sparse.. in need of an update/remodel.. too loud hip-hop style music ( felt like we were at a club)… our table has some kind of plastic coating that was peeling/sticking up .. it caught on my sleeve a few times . However, the waitress was so friendly .. which is a bonus . Ordered : a yummy lavender Lemonade drink … tea… French fries with cheese /bacon ( very yummy , but scarcely sprinkled with bacon … this is not what I recall it looking like years ago, I remember a lot of bacon crumbled all over the top), we also had : Ribeye -Coconut Shrimp combo… and the Sirloin-Coconut Shrimp combo . Side salads, and baked potatoes. Salad was just ‘ok’ (iceberg lettuce).. the potatoes were good … steaks were good .. my Sirloin looked burnt on top .. ( ordered it medium-well). It was ok inside though . The Coconut Shrimp were ok … I received 4 TINY Shrimp on my plate … my shrimp looked different than my husband’s, despite it being the same . Were not at all crunchy as they should be on the outside.. The appearance of our plates was pretty bad …. I was going to talk to the manager about it.. but just decided we won’t return here again… sad, because we were hoping this would be a great steakhouse to frequent ! Will be trying the other 2 well known Steakhouses...
