Maurice's is no longer a clothing store, it's a credit card company. Same as kohl's, young workers trying to pay their way through college are told if they don't sale enough credit cards, their hours would be cut. And it happened. Badly. Shame on you Maurice's. Ask customers over and over, workers are told, it "doesn't matter what customers think of you, just push credit cards". Greed will be your demise. Meanwhile people are suffering due to inflation and this is how u show your humanity towards young adults by punishing them for being respectful and honoring a customer when they say no twice. People cannot afford credit cards idiots, and they arent supposed to be called credit cards, "call them Maurice's cards and dont tell customers their credit will take a hit for applying". I'll never ever shop at a Maurice's again, ever. And believe me, I've spent alot there. And i can promise you, i haven't been ask every single time about a card and when i have its usually only once. You should be absolutely ashamed. These young adults will mature, get their education and remember how u treated them. So will God. And p.s. it ABSOLUTELY DOES matter what the customers think of a worker, THEY are paying your wages! Always wondered why turnovers were so high, now I know. Maybe in the future, tell new hires this is the standard and put it in the job description. Be honest about what their task is instead of not disclosing this info until they work there and waste their time. Just very distasteful and shady. Good luck to you that support this and hurt our future leaders. Sounds like you're gonna need it. And I will...
Read moreI visited this location around 4 to do some browsing for an upcoming vacation. Upon entering I noticed an employee leaned over the counter steadily texting with not a word said. The other 2 young ladies working were very pleasant. However, the same girl who was texting rapidly- was dealing with a customer and I overheard her and how she treated the customers! She was completely out of line for how she treated them!!! I was embarrassed for the customer, it was truly devastating how the employee treated her! I will also piggy back off another review I read, asking about credit cards is one thing- but when you feel that you HAVE to have a card to shop with them isn’t okay! Being asked multiple times over and over after politely declining and even going above and explaining why it’s not an ideal situation to only be asked more is aggravating! Not everyone can take that hit to their credit, especially in this economy!
With this being said, corporate needs to look into this young lady and potentially find her a replacement. She’s bringing this store down and sadly it’s put a very bad taste...
Read moreI walked into the store bummed out, because of the struggle I have to find pants. I was greeted by heather, who helped me the entire time. Not only was heather helpful, but she did it with grace. As I had a very noisy 2 year old with me, but heather didn’t mind at all. Thank you for your help! I also...
