T.J. Maxx — Local services in Milledgeville

I hate and fear discount department store clearance houses. I would rather go to the dentist, or spend a night in a drunk tank with frat boys with alcohol poisoning and anger management issues. As far as TJ Maxx locations go, this one was not a bad experience-sometimes I even had moments of fun here. Their women's selection, like every other TJ Maxx store, was awful, but the men's section was always good for a once a week check on Wednesday. (new stock day). I was able to find tons of great Under Armour, Adidas, and Nike hoodies, men's boxer briefs, shorts, and tees, their clearance markdowns on TOP of the sale prices made the usually panic-inducing trip to this retail overstock final destination worth a high-speed dash through the New Arrivals aisles worth the ten minutes spent. Plus, after surviving the trip, I felt justified in consoling myself with an excellent cuppa joe at the coffeehouse on the other end of the same shopping center. As far as these stores go, this one did not cause trauma. That is a win, in my estimation....

I hope the management at TJ Maxx reads my review. Today, a young Black lady cashier assisted me with my purchases, but she spent the entire time chatting with her friends on the phone and dealing with personal matters. I had to wait while she continued her private conversations, not just once, but repeatedly, ignoring the customers. It felt like there was no manager in this store. No one told her to get back to work even though she kept making personal calls. Her rude attitude was an added insult. I want the TJ Maxx management to know that their wages are being wasted on employees who are rude to customers and do not perform their...

Pretty solid TJMaxx with a good selection. It isn't huge, but it's big enough to be worth the visit. They definitely have some great deals sometimes, especially on the clearance aisle. I get journals here all the time, as I am an avid journaler. They are better quality and less expensive than many others are. This particular location seems to have really sweet staff, as well.
