I placed an order for pickup this afternoon over the phone, including one order of quesabirria made with flour tortillas instead of corn. The employee who took my order was polite and confirmed the quesabirria would be made with flour tortillas as requested.
My husband went into the restaurant to pick up the order and then we drive the 30 minute ride back home . When i opened the boxes to our food, I noticed that my quesabirria was made with corn tortilla and they didnt include my husband’s tortillas for his fajitas.
I called the restaurant to request a partial refund since my order was not prepared as requested. I explained the situation and was transferred between multiple employees. At one point, I was told that their staff “always checks” the order before bagging, which felt dismissive given the mistake. The restaurant offered to remake the order or issue a gift card if I came back to the restaurant. I explained that I live approximately 30 minutes away, so driving an hour round-trip for a $20 order wasn’t reasonable. I instead offered to send them a picture of the food if it would help - she refused and said I need to come back to the restaurant.
I told the employee out of courtesy that I would record the conversation for accuracy and that I would just dispute the charge with my bank (and use the voice recording as evidence that I did attempt to reach out to the restaurant first) instead of going back and forth with their staff. She abruptly put me on hold then the manager/owner(??) took over the call and was very argumentative. I was taken aback by the unprofessional tone!
Overall, I was disappointed in how the situation was handled. Mistakes happen, but the lack of flexibility and the rude response from management made this an unexpectedly off putting ...
Read moreIf I could negative 100 stars for the online ordering I would: I have NEVER experienced such unprofessionalism in my life. They left the phone off the hook for hours on end. 3 people from my family tried calling the same phone number for 3 hours and they purposely left it off the hook. When they finally answered, the 20 year old hostess/manager/OWNERS DAUGHTER put me on hold for 10 plus minutes. After it was clear she didn’t want to answerer, I finally hung up and called again and it was off the hook again. When I came to the restaurant she was gossiping with 4 servers at the hostess stand and told me “ I guess I forgot you were holding” while she was gossiping. She told me they were busy with to-go orders but there was literally ONE to-go order at the hostess stand. The parking lot was bare. This same hostess has always been rude. I wanted to try to order food online but their online menu is way different than the regular one; for example I tried to order Mole covered enchiladas and that’s not an option. Therefore I have to TRY and order it online on a Monday at 4:30 pm. Their business is terrible as far as shutting their clients out. I won’t eat here again because of that. Such a shame and SOOOO lazy!! Get it together El Amigo!!! They need better employees who value their clients. My fiancé knows the Ochoa family and we’ll be complaining personally about the hostess that doesn’t have the right to be a manager or refuse my business for...
Read moreI would give a negative rating if I could. First I asked if a different tequila could be used in my margarita and our server said she can ask but that the staff were all Mexicans and they don’t speak English so they wouldn’t understand her anyway. Then, we had a big party and we asked if the gratuity was included and the server proceeded to say they only grat black people because they don’t tip. One of my friends in the group happened to be African American and after looking over the checks we noticed that his check and ONLY his check had gratuity added to it. Not only is that racist its just over all disgusting. As a server myself you don’t profile a table if you do your just going to give bad service anyway and then maybe you deserve that crap tip they leave. She doesn’t deserve any tips and she needs to learn to respect people before she works somewhere that involves interaction with people. And last but not least… she told the table to tip in cash because her managers keep any credit cards tips they get. She should quit and this place should be shut down. They better hope they don’t get a lawsuit for discrimination and stealing from employees. I will NEVER waste a dime in this...
