Each seemed to pigeonhole our vision into their own trendy categories, labeling us as “fancy” who merely desired a “white kitchen.”

We reluctantly settled on a designer who initially seemed promising, but after countless meetings and worksheets, she presented us with cookie-cutter ideas that felt like they were pulled straight from Instagram—definitely not what we had envisioned. Disheartened and several thousand dollars lighter, we decided to take a different approach and wandered into some local stores for fresh inspiration.

That’s when we met Bridgette Tei, the owner of Eicholtz. From our first conversation, I sensed something different. Bridgette genuinely understood our frustrations and suggested we take a step back from our search. Intrigued, we agreed, but with one condition: she had to visit our home. After all, who better to appreciate the beautiful light streaming through our newly installed windows than the owner of a lighting store?

Bridgette arrived, and it was like a lightbulb went off. She saw the limitless potential in our space that we had felt all along. Unlike our previous experiences, she took the time to get to know us as individuals and as a family. What began as a modest three-room project quickly expanded to five—and eventually an entire floor. Our initial budget swelled as our trust in Bridgette deepened. Every detail felt like a crucial piece of a beautiful puzzle, bringing our dream closer to fruition.

The moment we first stepped into our transformed home is a memory we will cherish for years to come. Working with Bridgette was a joy; she is a creative powerhouse, turning our most ambitious visions into reality. We spoke with Bridgette and explained what we wanted. We felt that it might be a smaller job than her company would be interested in, but she assured us that they would be happy to help us design the island we needed in our relatively small space. She went through each step of the process with us and gave us wonderful suggestions. She oversaw the process from beginning to end, ensuring that her crew stayed on schedule and that everything was being done as promised. They removed our original island and built exactly what we were looking for. They also renovated our existing cabinet area, installing a new backsplash and a countertop to match the island, repainting the cabinets and drawers and installing new hardware. This was all accomplished in a very short period of time and with no effort on our part. They also did a great job with clean up!
