Came into town for a business conference, on the last day, I had a few hours to kill and decided to grab some lunch and relax before facing the airport madness (turns out Minneapolis airport is superbly easy to get through and the staff had very friendly attitudes). I looked up for a ramen place and all of them in the city seemed rather expensive with mediocre food/portions. Another reviewer said this place had generous serving sizes, so I booked a Lyft and came to check this place out. The atmosphere is great, feels like a nice little family run ramen shop. Tip: the less fancy a ramen shop is, the more likely they have good tasting dishes. I made my orders and sat down, and my food arrived in less than ten minutes. Like the reviewers said, their normal portion is good, but if you get extra soup or noodles, be prepared to get absolutely stuffed! I'm the kind of guy who chomps down on a 24 ounce steak without problems, so imagine my surprise when I found myself super full after one tonkotsu with extra soup & noodles. It was basically a second serving without the toppings. 100% value for money. Takoyaki was pretty good; I never tasted the sauce they used before so I was caught slightly off guard, but nice and chewy center with crunchy skin is nothing to complain about. Enjoying delicious and hot ramen by the window while the cloudy cold winds blow outside was a perfect way to finish up my trip to Minneapolis, if I revisit some day, you bet I’m coming back here again.

From the moment I walked in I could just tell this was going to be authentic ramen! I had watched a tik tok review prior to coming in and actually ordered the same ramen from the video and it did not disappoint! We got the #2 tonkotsu w an extra egg and spicy. It was the best ramen I have ever had. I’ve been to quite a few places around the city but this one right here hit the spot!! I can’t stress it enough how great the food was. The spice level was just the perfect amount to where it gave the ramen such a great blast of flavor and wasn’t overpowering to the point I couldn’t enjoy it. The gyoza was so fresh and the sauce that came w it was spectacular. I honestly thought I had ordered eggrolls but, I’m no expert in this type of cuisine, turns out they were spring rolls but, in all honesty I wasn’t upset at all, these spring rolls were so fluffy and had such a satisfying crunch to it. The sweet sauce it came with went perfect w the spring rolls. I highly recommend these for appetizers. They do have some vegetarian options as well!! I was honestly so surprised to not see this place packed, amazing food, the hospitality was great, I felt like I was in someone’s home and that feeling is so rare to come across. Try this place out the next time you’re craving ramen!

Jiro deams of Sushi, and I dream of Ramen. This was the first restaurant that I went to after I was vaccinated (July 2nd, 2021). This affable, unassuming ramen stalwart was a destination that I thought about often once lockdown was put into place. Service: Very friendly and chill. This is SOOO cliché, but it was Zen. My pet peeve is when I go to a highly reviewed place and staff try to finish my sentences when I ask questions (to be honest—they've heard it all and are just trying to help based on their experiences but usually it just feels like they are just trying to get you out the door.) For someone with anxiety, it was very refreshing. Food: I mean—this should just be the point where someone drops the mic. Noodles, perfect (it's a hard line to tow). Egg, perfect. Just the right temp and the broth was literally a drooling emoji. This made my year team. To everyone who works here—Just keep doing what you are doing—it can be hard at times considering some customers are just jerks. Your artistry, service and general vibe does not go unappreciated. A majority of people will not review unless they have a bone to pick. You're good people. Next time I'm getting the miso :)
