Poor communication. I had a warranty on washer. Was obviously not fixable but they tried. So they order parts which takes couple weeks to come in. Well that part didn’t work so they order another. Didn’t work. Finally make a request to order new one. They didn’t have same model so they put in order for similar one. So I’m waiting. Months go by I receive a phone call was happy their scheduling a delivery. But no front desk ask for serial number for warranty and I say for new one and she said no new one. 😔 I said I haven’t received the new washer she goes what you haven’t omg I’ll call you right back. Calls back now I gotta wait another couple weeks. Finally get NEW washer. Month later our fridge goes out we get the fridge delivered she mentions the sale on LG not my type of brand. We get it delivered and set up. But now the water dispenser hasn’t worked ever since. But it made ice which was unusual. I made the call the next day. Man answer and says he will make a note and send out someone. Still nothing after months later. Now the ice machine doesn’t work.
My family has been doing business with this family business. I find out recently they have been doing the same thing to my elderly mother. And she’s resides hr away from town. And she’s been getting frustrated the whole time because they have been doing the same thing with her washer. And the lady threaten my mother not to business with them again because her son was very disrespectful to worker on site which he’s 52, My brother heard that and was shocked.    Read moreThe service department IS NOT GOOD! So- my washer stopped spinning and since I had purchased at Karl's I call to schedule a service call. The less than pleasant service scheduler said it would be ~ 2 weeks and I was " lucky at that because it was a cancellation otherwise it would be after Christmas. " He gets here, $130 up front to "diagnose" the issue. He said I needed a new transmission. Mind you in the parts manual there are no parts labeled transmission. He estimated $250-300. The same terse lady called me back and said she would need that 1/2 payment up front. 7-10 working days to get part in, then who know how long until service appointment availability to put it in. I then said I would look elsewhere. I called another service repair company here in Minot I had used previously very happily ( again initially called Karls because I bought washer there.) He came : said it was a coupler. Told me that it a common service problem and because he sees it so often he had the part in his truck. So no wait for a part, no return service call, no transmission. So a $25 coupler VS almost $500 for I'm not sure what? I Called and talked to the same crabby lady and she said, " I apologized, I will speak to technician, what else do you want me to do?" 1- Refund my service call to diagnose since he didn't. 2- Be sure the tech have the skill and knowledge to figure it out. 3- Lose the attitude and treat the customer with respect.
