An absolute nightmare of a staff. I went in and spent $230.00 on various items including 2 T-shirts. When I went back home I was putting the shirt in the laundry and found that the security tag was still attached. So I cannot wear the shirt. So later on that day I went back WITH MY RECEIPT to get that tag taken off and to also exchange a pair of flip flops for a bigger size. As I enter the store the cashier lady was staring my wife down as we find the right size like we are robbing the place. When I step up to the cash register the same lady was there and my wife showed her the receipt and asked her to remove the tag. She refused cause the price tag was not on it and she said she cannot scan it. As she was super aggressive and almost made my wife Nervous I had to step in. I asked her nicely that we are not returning the item and the lady that ran the register when we bought the item was standing next to her so I asked her nicely again that I already paid for this and u have the receipt and that the cashier forgot to take the tag off. Then she got super mean. Then she started arguing and being very unreasonable. Then I lost my cool and started arguing back louder then she called another lady and started speaking a different language. And finally after she finished her conversation she stared me down for about 30 second like she wanted to kill me. Then I told her to calm down and I told her it is ok to admit that sheās wrong. Then she said my cashier made a mistake and she said it loudly. Then I responded and asked her to correct her mistake. And finally she did. I have to tell u. This is the worst experience I have ever had buying anything and that lady was super crazy and unprofessional and should not be in a customer facing position. I will never return or recommend this place to anyone. Good luck staying in business treating...

As other reviewers have pointed out, the lines get VERY long and with available employees in the store, ONE cash register open. As others have mentioned, the ālady chewing the gumā handled customer complaints fairly well, but didnāt act to bring other employees to help. Many people walked in, saw what was happening, and left.
This isnāt my first Florida beach visit, nor my first to a ātourist trapā souvenir shop. While the Miramar Beach Facebook page recommended Alvinās over Walmart... Iām not sold on that recommendation anymore.
Also, have an idea of what your total should be before you hand over your credit card. My spouse was overcharged two days ago and it took 15 minutes to resolve (again, note the lines youāre standing in waiting for this problem/resolution system). Several people today stopped and questioned their purchase...wisely done.
Finally, I see āmanagementā responds here and have done so to this same exact complaint at this location. Polite response with no change in employee commitment to getting on a cash register then the lines literally go to the back of the store. While the Google reviews are done after the fact, and I didnāt read it before I went... Iāll warn others on other Social Media (e.g., Facebook) to plan on spending some time of their vacation in this line if they so choose to patron this...

The next day, I went to store #752 in Miramar Beach. Where the sandals were purchased 2 days prior. The person at the counter told me I could not exchange or return them because they were worn. I didn't agree with that return policy. So she went to talk with the manager. She returned with my receipt underlined by the return policy. I asked to speak with the manager and was told she was busy in the office. I kept asking for 5-10 minutes and finally the manager came out and stated the same policy. I was not happy. She told me I could purchase something for the same amount or more. I was leaving the next day and didn't see the need for more horrible merchandise. Nor did I want to spend more money.
