Dropped in for an early dinner for three adults and a young child and let me just say it will become one of our favorites in the area. We ordered crab rangoon to start which were beautifully prepared and outstanding. We ordered four rolls- The Sunshine Roll, the Spicy Tuna, the Jelly Roll and The Kracken. All were well-prepared and flavor filled. The Kracken was my favorite with a combo of octopus and tuna with a touch of chili oil for heat covered with crunchy onion strips. Wow what flavor. The Sunshine roll had the best mix of flavors including tiny orange slices and mango for bright fresh flavor and again the tuna was absolutely outstanding. The Jellyroll was a deep fried roll with cream cheese and it did not disappoint. Spicy tuna was my daughter’s choice and she said it was one of the best traditional rolls she had ever tasted.
The highlight was the corndog cut into slices that looked like sushi served on its own long sushi platter with a small dipping bowl of ketchup and chopsticks and “helpers” for practice.
The service was incredible with great recommendations and fast service. Pat and Cristy were so personable and responded to our every request including extra, extra ginger and chopstick helpers to take home for more practice for the four-year-old.
Very positive experience and a fantastic addition to the dining choices for our month visit...
Read moreWe decided to try Outcast Sushi while in town, curious about their unique and creative approach. It definitely leans into the “outcast” name—but not always in a good way.
I ordered the Kraken Roll, which came completely drenched in hot chili oil—something I’ve never seen on sushi before. Unfortunately, the intense heat didn’t enhance the seafood; it overwhelmed it. The octopus was chewy, unchopped, and uncooked, which made it tough to enjoy.
My husband had the hot and sour soup, which was far from typical. It was extremely spicy and brothy, with just a couple of mushroom slices. It missed the comforting, balanced flavors we usually expect from this dish. His Mermaid Roll looked fine, but had a noticeably fishy taste—not in a fresh way.
Thankfully, the vegetable fried rice and Japanese chicken bites were excellent—flavorful, well-cooked, and honestly the highlight of our meal.
On a positive note, the service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The staff checked in on us frequently and made us feel welcome.
Overall, Outcast Sushi is bold and unconventional. If you’re in the mood for an offbeat sushi experience and don’t mind a bit of culinary risk, it could be worth a try. We appreciated the service, but the food was hit or...
Read moreOutcast Sushi absolutely blew us away! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and creativity. The Sushi Nachos were a perfect blend of crispy, fresh, and savory- loved the seaweed salad on these! The Volcano Roll and Spicy Tuna Avocado Roll were also incredible —fresh, delish, and gorgeous! The Volcano roll actually comes out in a flaming skillet, so it is on fire! 🔥 Best cooked roll we have tried! The Crab Rangoon, made with fresh snow crab from their other restaurant, Outcast Seafood, was a game-changer—rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed mochi for dessert, the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal.
What truly set the experience apart was the top-notch service from Maddy and Kory. Maddy’s enthusiasm and spot-on recommendations made us feel like VIPs, while Kory’s attentiveness and warm personality ensured every detail of our meal was flawless. Together, they made us feel right at home and turned a great dinner into an exceptional experience.
