I started attending classes at the Women's Care Center when I was only 5 weeks pregnant. I received a pregnancy test the week before and learned about classes at that time. I would have never made it through my pregnancy (first timer 2015) if it wasn't for the support, advice, and information I learned at the WCC. The staff is awesome and well trained. They provide emotional support whenever you need it, To help families they offer diapers and one coupon for each class you attend. Coupons can be used to "purchase" diapers, clothes, and other essential baby items. One of the best things about WCC, along with their staff, is that there is no income stipulation. They do not discriminate against people based on their income. Now a days, it is so hard finding financial assistance as a "middle class" citizen and the WCC if there for everyone. The information I learned in classes and the emotional support I received would have been enough; but to receive diapers for each class was a financial blessing! I haven't had to buy diapers yet thanks to WCC. One time, my husband and I even got into a small argument and my counselor was able to - not only diffuse the situation - but was also able to pinpoint the problem and talk to both of us to help us understand each other better. It actually help our relationship and we haven't had any other misunderstandings since. If you are pregnant - especially for the first time - please consider attending counseling and classes at WCC. It will make your pregnancy easier and less scary! If you're pregnant and don't want to keep the baby, please go to WCC and they will help you with the adoption process and help you emotionally along the way. These are some of the best women I have ever met and they truly care about all their clients and their children. The ladies here will always have a special place in my heart and I can't ever thank them enough for what they have done for me. I am so glad they are all a part of my life and now my baby...
Read moreA lot of my friends recommended that I go to the women’s care center after I took 2 home pregnancy tests that resulted positive, thanksgiving of 2018. I was given a pregnancy test and was given information on what to do next with my pregnancy and resources to get the ball rolling & also scheduled an ultrasound with them. I have been attending video sessions and some classes throughout my pregnancy and I am eligible to receive a crib! I’m so thankful for the support/advice/knowledge they have given me. If you attend the classes or video sessions that they offer to expectant mothers , you are rewarded with coupons to use in their store for baby items that are brand new! And also eligible for rewards/ incentives. Their services are free of charge and truely do help you prepare for your little one(s)! The staff is also very polite and welcoming and let you know you’re doing a good job when you are trying. They have went above and beyond for me . I started a new job during my pregnancy and needed khaki work pants and of course all the maternity pants I have are not khaki , they went through their selection of maternity pants and had some pairs set aside for me that...
Read moreI first went to the Women's Care Center 12 years ago when I thought I was pregnant for the second time. I was only 17 and had a 1 1/2 year old. I was so nervous about going to anyone because of my age. But they passed no judgement and made me feel so comfortable and were happy for me. Since then I have been here many times for pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and parenting class. Because of the parenting class they offer, I had over 200 diapers, baby soap that lasted my son over a year, and 20 packs of wipes. Not only are they an amazing resource, they will do any and everything to help you and your specific needs. Thank you so much ladies for everything you have done for me and other women who had no...
