Iāve had several extremely negative experiences at this store due to one particular employee who currently works in the handbag department named Tiara. This is not an isolated issue ā her behavior has been inappropriate, unprofessional, and offensive on multiple occasions, dating back to when she previously worked in the watches department. Even at that time, I witnessed her being openly rude and even making racially inappropriate remarks toward customers, including individuals of her own race. I was shocked to learn that instead of being removed from the sales floor, she was transferred to another high-visibility department.
Since being moved to handbags, her behavior has become even worse. On multiple visits, Iāve seen her sitting on merchandise while carrying on loud, personal FaceTime conversations on speakerphone right in the middle of the sales floor. She ignores customers entirely, even when itās clear someone needs help. When she does interact, she often displays a visibly hostile, irritated attitude, making the shopping experience uncomfortable and unpleasant. Her use of excessive profanity in front of both coworkers and customers is completely inappropriate, and her demeanor toward other staff members is aggressive and unprofessional. She regularly gives them harassing looks and has shown open disrespect toward her manager in front of customers ā and yet, management appears to tolerate it.
Her appearance in the store is also a serious concern. I have witnessed her wearing extremely short dresses, and on more than one occasion, when she bent over or squatted, her private areas were exposed. She also frequently pulls down her top to reveal her bra and cleavage while standing on the sales floor. This level of indecency is unacceptable in a professional retail environment and especially uncomfortable for families with children who may be shopping nearby.
Even more disturbing is the way she reacts when Black customers donāt choose to check out with her, despite the fact that she didnāt help them or another associate was already assisting them. I have personally seen her become visibly irritated or offended in these situations. Itās clear that many customers actively avoid her because of her poor attitude, and unfortunately, I donāt blame them. Her energy and presence on the floor are negative and divisive.
I, along with others, have shared these concerns directly with her coworkers. On more than one occasion, Iāve seen those coworkers step in to apologize on her behalf, clearly embarrassed and put in a difficult position because of her ongoing behavior. The fact that other staff members feel the need to make excuses or smooth things over says a lot about how her behavior is affecting the overall store environment.
What concerns me the most is that nothing appears to be done about it. This employeeās pattern of behavior has been ongoing for far too long, and instead of being held accountable, she has been allowed to continue representing the store in a way that is not only unprofessional but damaging to the shopping experience and the storeās reputation. Iām honestly shocked that management hasnāt taken appropriate action.
I hope that corporate leadership sees this and seriously investigates the issue. This is not a matter of a single bad day or one isolated incident ā this is repeated, escalating misconduct that has made both customers and staff uncomfortable. It reflects poorly not only on the employee, but on the management that continues...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently went to Dillard's looking at the perfume and makeup, I've actually purchased skincare items from Dillard's a year ago as well so I have been a frequent customer. Well today around 4:44 pm I was taking pictures for my instagram, I'm a influencer and I post pictures for my almost 1k followers, anyways a lady by the name of Tammy walked over to me where I was taking pictures and she said "Hi do you need help with anything." I said "um no ma'am I was just taking pictures for my instagram." And she said "oh okay." While preceding to stand there and stare at me creepy⦠I then got weirded out by her literally standing there and just staring at me constantly so I said "I mean I can go if you want me to⦠I wasn't doing anything wrong I was just taking pictures for my instagramā¦.?" She continues to stare right at me literally RIGHT by me then replied "Oh you can go if you want." In a fake customer service voice, basically telling me to leave the store in a sarcastic manner. Anyways I finally decided it was best to leave the store.. Although my husband parked at that Dillardās side of the mall so unfortunately I had to walk out at that side, as I was walking I told a nice girl by the name of Layla I believe not sure if I spelled it completely correct but I explained the situation and she actually told me that they always allowed their customers to take pictures and they loved the idea to promote on the instagram, she even followed my instagram account and thought my hobby was really awesome. I actually took a video of the lady but Iām not posting that, I did screenshot her in the video but Iām not going to post that either but I will absolutely send all that to corporate, I just emailed them before posting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve started purchasing cologne from this Dillards for about a month now. All the employees in the fragrance department are extremely helpful and go out of there way to assist me. Especially Ryan and April. I like seeing their friendly faces when I walk into Dillards to see which cologne Iām going to purchase next and theyāre walking with me to make my next decision. Very knowledgable and engaging employees. I trust Ryanās nose as much as my own. However, just before Christmas Eve however, I came in to purchase the Mont Blanc Explorer, Mont Blanc Legend, and I wanted the YSL Y Parfum. However, Chloe, who was very nice, accidentally gave me the Eau De Parfum. I noticed this after I purchased it and brought it back to exchange it for the more expensive one (this is my only āreturnā). I was told I had $75 dollars of rewards and I also had another $50 in rewards as well. I tried to stack them, but I couldnāt. Thatās not an issue, what is an issue is my $75 rewards became invalid since it is a āreturn.ā The manager there did nothing to help me so basically I spent $400 on cologne and was told my rewards are useless. No issues with the employees, but the management is subpar at this location. Everywhere Iāve ever worked we had to honor things in the name of customer service that we we technically shouldnāt, I guess their $75 is more important than my continued business.
Iāve sent an email to Dillards regarding this. Iām willing to see if they would like to resolve their mistake or let their customers be punished for mistakes they make.
Edit:
The management of the location reached out to me immediately and had my issues resolved within a few hours. Dillards did right by me and stayed very helpful...
