Hobby Lobby — Local services in Mobile

I’m going to make this clear. I love hobby lobby but this review is pointed towards HobbyLobby.com. I am very disappointed to the point where if I didn’t love hobby lobby so much I would stop shopping there altogether. I was given a Mastercard e-gift card. When trying to buy some items via online, the website wouldn’t receive my card as if my card had insufficient funds. I tried at least 3-4 times. The next day I tried to buy something else using my Mastercard, seeing that I couldn’t use it for hobby lobby, when it was declined due to insufficient funds. When I viewed my last transactions I saw that $20.55 was taken out of my account via “Hobby Lobby Oklahoma City”. I did experience some buffering on the website when trying order but all in all I didn’t receive an email concerning a successful purchase. I called customer service and they were no help at all! They wouldn’t give me a refund or any of the items. They only kept saying that they only saw the failed attempts and not the one successful charge…I am very disappointed and I wouldn’t recommend this website to anyone. I forgot this place is not friendly to "non-christians." I went in after Halloween, hoping to find some clearance Halloween items to use for a Dia de Los Muertos vignette I was making, and, after wandering through 7000 aisles of Christmas, I asked a worker if they had any Halloween items left. She basically snapped at me, "We don't sell Halloween here!" At first, I was startled and confused, then, I remembered the whole "birth control- insurance debacle" from several years ago. And, I remembered why I don't shop there anymore. I looked for 2 more specific items, and was directed to 3 different areas of the store (as a disabled vet in constant pain, this wasn't optimum) - no joy. There were 2 young men working the floor who tried to help me, but no luck. Then, they started the "we are closing" announcements and I hurried up to the front where there was only one cashier and a line. Other than the 2 aforementioned young men, there was certainly no "Christmas" or, even "Christian" spirit evident from anyone working there... they don't want my money- no problem - they won't get it. This is a great Hobby Lobby Store. It’s easy to access off the main highway, which is a plus when Mobile traffic is heavy. There are plenty of great retail shops (Petco, Best Buy, HomeGoods, etc.) and great places to eat (Five Guys, Starbucks, Newks, etc.) all located close by, throughout the central shopping plaza.

I came to the store looking for some artwork for my boyfriend’s “man cave/garage”. They have a great selection of Ford, Chevy, Jeep, etc. memorabilia and the like.

I wandered to a few other aisles and found amazing markdown sales on tons of items. For example, I found a Thomas Kindcade Disney Scene cross-stitch set marked down to $4 with an original price of $25 and up. There were some other cross-stitch packages for as low as $1.75. Make sure and look for the yellow markdown price sticker.
