Panda Palace Buffet — Restaurant in Mobile

The food was very good but the unprofessionalism of the frontend staff made the experience a one star rating from my visit yesterday (10/27/22) Jakayla was the absolute rudest person I have ever encountered in my many years of dining out. One of the members of my party had just returned from the doctor after having surgery and was unable to eat although she had paid. After she paid, she sat down without even visiting the food bars and said "I'm not going to be able to eat, let me see if I can get mine to-go". She went back to the cashier, and asked for a box since she had just sat down and not gotten a plate. To everyone's surprise, Jakayla told her no she would have to eat there because she paid for dine-in not to-go. My friend then explained her medical situation and why she physically couldn't eat, Jakayla then said she needed "proof" of my friend's condition from her surgery. Jokingly my friend asked she would like to see her stitches and Jakayla said yes and if she had paperwork to go along with it. Unfortunately my friend felt the need to comply so as not to disturb the other members of party who had begun to eat. Jakayla proceeded to "read" over my friend's paperwork from her doctor's appointment and then finally gave her the box. Jakayla also refused to refund the money as well, so that solution was out the window incase anyone was wondering. This put a damper on our enjoyment of the overall experience as this was my first and last time eating here and that was entirely because of the ineptitude of JAKAYLA'S horrible display of...

The food was the worst Chinese food in Alabama. I was so embarrassed to have invited someone here when we could've gone somewhere else and had better. I called before we came to ask if they had crab legs to be told they didn't, but that they had fried crabs, which was a lie. It's a shame that the best thing they had to eat was pickles and pickled okra from a can or jar. The shrimp was overcooked, unable to be peeled, and tough. The roast beef was too tough to cut off the piece in the pan and to be chewed. The ribs tasted gamey and off. The fried shrimp tasted like the oil should've been changed 5,000 miles ago. The scary part of our dining experience was seeing the cupcakes sitting in water on the trays even after I asked for fresh to be placed on the line. They knew it was inedible and possibly unsafe but chose to leave it unchanged. The mussels tasted off, and that's scary also. I just hope we don't get sick. I've never been to a Panda Palace Buffet that was this bad, and we most definitely won't be back. If this is the best they can do, the whole business should be shut down. It's such a shame that the quality was so terrible and possibly unsafe to be consumed because the other restaurant we liked going to closed down and there aren't many left to choose from now that we know not to go back to the Panda Palace. My father asked me to dinner....He had paid for a table of 7 before I arrived....My friend called soon after arriving and wanted to join...When she arrived I attempted to pay for her meal....The lady told me that their is a 15 percent gratuity added if she sat with the party my father paid for....Or she would be placed on the other side of the restaurant and seated separately.....She stated that she didn't want to disturb my father's original plan and opted to sit on the other side of the restaurant.......I also told the lady that I would join her on the other side...So that left 6 on my Father's side...And 2 on our side.....We paid and started to eat........The manager of the place said that he cancelled our order....And told us to leave.....He said that we purposely avoided paying the 15 percent and put us out....I am a multi millionaire....I didn't avoid anything...I was given clear boundaries with the added person and seating.....We spent about 30 dollars a person....Fully intended to tip before this situation.....But they would rather put you out if they felt they couldn't get another 15 percent when the price was over 200....This is not a restaurant that serves you....This is a buffet....Tips...
