I went to Daiso soft opening Thursday in Modesto, Ca and I loved it. While it was more expensive than I thought it would be, based off hearing that it was basically like a Japanese $1 store or dollar tree, I still don't think it's that expensive. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and handed a shopping cart. Since I have not been to a Daiso before I was confused on the prices. The price for the dollar amount conversion is listed all around the store. I didnt travel far down the isle enough to see it because I was stopped in my tracks at the Nightmare Before Christmas figuares. I love NBC! It took me some time taking it all in. Staff walking around and offering help as you go. As far as the quality of the items, it just depends on the item. Some items felt $1 store quality but others felt higher quality. Overall I enjoyed my experience and got a few things. I can't wait to go back but I am afraid to bring my kids especially my daughter who would want many things...

I had fainted on August 28th waiting in line and she was kind enough to take time out of her duties to see that I was brought into the store. She had gotten me a bottle water and a snack and kept checking up on me. I felt bad that she was so busy but still was kind enough to come and talk to me. I wish I had gotten the name of the young man who was also waiting in line and had brought me three drinks to rehydrate myself . Thank you so very much Miss Rocio from myself...
