Dollar Tree — Local services in Monroe

Honestly I shop here a lot, and I thinks it’s one of the better stocked dollar trees, and it’s always clean. But idk who Melissa is, but she was extremely rude. While walking the store, I brought in my puppy, he is pretty frequent when I go into the store and never have any issues, he stays inside his cart and usually takes a nap while I shop. Today, however I forgot my blanket I usually bring with for him, and a very nice guy stocking the floor approached me and offered a doggy blanket for him to sit on, stating that I could use it as long as I gave it back, I agreed and he gave my puppy some attention before walking away, when I went to pay, Melissa helped me and I told her what had happened and tried to give the blanket back, she refused saying that I needed to pay for it saying that they don’t allow that and didn’t even ask the guy who offered it, now I’m not complaining that I had to pay for a $1.25 blanket, I’m complaining because Melissa could have handled the situation differently. I felt extremely embarrassed and she made me feel like I was trying to pull one on her when that was not the case. The associate that offered the blanket was so kind and it was such a generous gesture, all so my puppy didn’t have to sit on the grates of the shopping cart, he really went above and beyond, and Melissa had to ruin it. I’ve never seen her before or the kind man that helped my puppy but Melissa definitely put a sour taste in my mouth, makes me not want...

Edit: today has been the worst at this location. I finally decided enough is enough and I reported this store to LnI... Unbelievable

For the most part the employees are nice. However the store is a law suit waiting to happen!! There is always empty boxes or boxes filled with product ready to be put on display in the middle of the aisles, and stacked up all over the place. This is every day!!! The floors are always dirty, I don't think anyone has mopped or vacuumed in months.

On top of that the store is always half stocked, sometimes I end up opening the above said boxes to get the items that I need. What's funny is that although these boxes are out and in everyone's way, no one is ever stocking the shelves.

There is typically one cashier with a long line and no employees walking the floor. If back up is needed the person called will exit the office near the front of the store.

Whoever manages this store is neglectful and disorganized!

I recommend if you need a dollar store in this area - take the drive to Snohomish. That store is always clean, stocked and NOT a trip and...

The Monroe dollar store has changed for the better in the last year. the only thing I find is the bathroom is disgusting. BUT. That's not their fault, it is the disgusting lowlifes pigs that use it and screw it up if they use their bathroom at home like this I can't even imagine but the dollar store is not the fault of it. I think a camera needs to be set up by the bathroom so they can start finding out whodunnit. Or you have to get a key again from up front I feel so sorry for the workers that have to clean that bathroom one would think what kind of people out there that do this I have seen it in all businesses, some people are just disgusting pigs and cause grief for the good people.
