Teriyaki Bowl — Restaurant in Monroe

Not super impressed. I got the chicken and beef combo, and instead of paying for extra meat, I went with double meat since I was splitting with others. The container itself seemed bigger, but essentially the quantity was exactly the same size as my husband's meal.. Ordered 3 entrees and only got one salad so that was lame. Also the serving size for regular order is really small compared to other places. Also prefer my meat over my rice.. Total came to almost $60 for 3 orders and a side of broccoli. I initially thought that the restaurant was closed because the door was so dirty. But since the "open" sign was lit, I went on in and ordered my food. While I was waiting, I noticed that the carpet was dirty with greasy and muddy footprints everywhere and the cloth "door" back into the kitchen was also filthy. I took my food and left and considered throwing it away on my drive home but I did eat it. Don't let its simple appearance fool you. This little place has the most tender, perfectly cooked, choice cut meat and fantastic rice. We had it for the first time tonight, having just moved to Monroe recently. Most teriyaki places overcook their meat and try to make up for it by drowning it in sauce. The wife and I are a bit picky when it comes to teriyaki and this place just set the bar even though they were swamped with customers. The service was kind and genuine.
