On May 8, 2022 my husband stopped at the Taco Time at Hwy 2 in Monroe, Wa @ approximately 9:30pm. He ordered me a Soft Pinto Bean Burrito, my favorite of Taco Time fare. He then drove the 30 minutes home. The burrito was labeled "BEAN". It was NOT BEAN, it was BEEF, which was inedible to this vegetarian. Too late to go back and too late to call. My husband would just let them know the next time he was there. Fast forward to tonight May 22, 2022, @ approximately 9:30pm. My husband explained what happened with our previous order and asked that they make sure they provided a pinto bean burrito. There was NO offer made by the staff to rectify their previous mistake, (i.e. a free burrito). My husband confirmed it was a bean burrito, in front of the drive thru employee. He then drove the 30 minutes home. I opened the burrito to add ranch and jalepenos, instead I pulled out a fairly large piece of thick plastic wrap type material (see photos). This was second time within two weeks that I was unable to eat the burrito. Who knows where the plastic was from and what it's original use was. I feel that this was purposely done in direct RETALIATION for the initial burrito complaint... On a more probable than not basis. I'm glad I opened up the burrito before taking a bite. A piece of plastic of this size could easily become lodged in the esophagus, causing choking and be life threatening. THE MONROE, WA TACO TIME EMPLOYEES ON BOTH OCCASIONS WERE UNFRIENDLY AND CURT. IT IS NOT UP TO THE STANDARDS WE HAVE COME TO EXPECT FROM OTHER TACO TIME LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT WESTERN WASHINGTON. WE DEFINITELY WILL NOT ORDER FROM THE MONROE LOCATION AGAIN, THEY ARE TOO CARELESS...
Read moreDo not come here. We have been coming here for years and it's always been good up until a few months ago. Every time of the last 5 times we've been here they have cut the portions in almost half and prices are up, and EVERY other TacoTime still has regular sizes . And the service has gone down hill, we typically use the drive thru and they seem unfriendly and bored and today rude. My hubby's soft burrito was about as thin as a crisp burrito (when on his hand you could see tips of his fingers and the bottom of his fingers) I'll post a pic or two, and my crisp tacos were close to empty, also we were not offered hot sauce, and when we then asked for hot sauce the girl at the window snapped that they didn't have cupped hot sauce, and though we were in the drive thru we had to go in the store and get our own, lack of customer service, you would usually ask if you could go grab it for the customer not I don't have any go do it yourself. It's disappointing as previously we've had good experiences. But a true lack of customer service and subpar food will keep us away. We actually got our money back today...
Read moreAs a parent have you ever had one of those days where you just want to get some food real fast and not create it at home? But, your child is screaming while ordering, waiting in line, while the person in front of you is ordering and waiting in line? This happened today to the poor mom and dad behind me in the drive thru. Their child was screaming the whole time, the parents sat motionless with defeated looks on their faces. My kids are teens and out of this stage, but I remember it vividly...
so, I decided right then I wanted them to have a better day and bought their order for them. I hope they are smiling now. It's the best $33. and change I've spent to date.
I hope you're all smiling now! Thank you for letting me reminisce and letting me treat someone how I would like to have been treated by a stranger in...
